He addressed the students as "Mr." or "Ms."
From the court case:
On the first day of class, Meriwether was using the Socratic method to lead discussion in his course on Political Philosophy. When using that method, he addresses students as “Mr.” or “Ms.” He believes “this formal manner of addressing students helps them view the academic enterprise as a serious, weighty endeavor” and “foster[s] an atmosphere of seriousness and mutual respect.”

Fake news:
Update according to German news:
The respirators ordered by the Berlin police have not been secured by the United States, but simply bought at a better price - by whom exactly is still unclear. A spokeswoman for the police said on Saturday on request. The authority is correcting the information provided by Interior Senator Andreas Geisel (SPD).
He's probably booked on Aeroflot flight SU 150, a non-stop (important) departing at 14:05 (06:05 Eastern). There is an earlier flight at 07:25, but it makes a stop in Paris
SU 150 would normally take him over US airspace. I will be interesting to see if this flight deviates from its usual route to stay out of it or if it will be tempting the government to force it to land like it did with the Achille Lauro hijackers in 1985.

I haven’t seen any evidence of equipment failure. To me it looks like poor conditions, pressure on the pilot to get the passengers there on time for the event(especially after having gotten in trouble once before for not wanting to land elsewhere) and pilot error during final approach. Same thing probably could have happened with a brand new Boeing aircraft.
