  • IRS Scandal, Why Isn't it a Diversion?

Unless Obama is also exposed as a lying untrustworthy weasel on Benghazi (and I believe he can be) too many people will be able to concede IRS guilt and even possibly Obama-campaign IRS guilt - while still maintaining that the Obama they were brainwashed into trusting was not involved.

While what you say about the immediate impact of the IRS scandal is true, you missed the following more significant questions:

    1) Which scandal does the regime know Obama’s fingerprints are on and do they feel less able to defend him on?

They planned the IRS targeting in advance and would have been better about to construct firewalls to protect Obama.

The Benghazi travesty was not planned in advance. Even the Benghazi cover-up was ad libbed. If Benghazi is pursued to the end Obama falls on malfeasance or dereliction.

    2) Which scandal is a greater threat to Democrat presidential chances in 2016?

Obama can't run in 2016 while Hillary is by far their top contender. She can't be touched on the IRS, but her (and Obama’s) fingerprints are undeniably all over Benghazi.

If Elijah Cummings, the Obamnista loyalist obstructing the House committee hearings on Benghazi, is now supporting hearings on IRS-TeaParty, there is certainly an alterior motive.

My suspicion is that the Obamanistas want to use IRS scandal to draw Americans off the Benghazi scandal's trail . I suspect the reason to be that they are more confident that the firewalls they constructed to shield Obama in the IRS scandal than they are of Obama’s protection on Benghazi.

Don't take the bait. Double the pursuit on Benghazi Gate, the Rats are falling back a desperate sacrificial diversion on IRS Gate as a last ditch defense of King Obama on his Achilles heel - Benghazi. [While the IRS should be investigated it should play 2nd to Benghazi.)

"...the only things we know for sure about David Rhodes at this point are that he's head of CBS News and he's Ben Rhodes's brother."

David Rhodes is President of CBS News and (extracted from the article):

"CBS News executives have reportedly expressed frustration with their own reporter, Sharyl Attkisson, who has steadily covered the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack in Libya since late last year."

"“Network sources” told Politico Wednesday that CBS executives feel Attkisson’s Benghazi coverage is bordering on advocacy, and Attkisson “can’t get some of her stories on the air.”"

Ben Rhodes is brother of David Rhodes and (extracted from the article):
"... ABC News reported that the Benghazi talking points went through 12 revisions before they were used on the public. The White House was intimately involved in that process, ABC reported, and the talking points were scrubbed free of their original references to a terror attack.

"That reporting revealed that President Obama’s deputy national security adviser, Ben Rhodes — brother of CBS News president David Rhodes — was instrumental in changing the talking points in September 2012."

The "only thing WE know for sure?" With Obama supporters ABC and Politico finally jumping ship, next time, speak only for yourself and the most die-hard of the Obama's true believers.

    From your link:
"In 2010, Shabazz made the Hajj to Mecca."
From "Live from Saudi Arabia: an interview with El Hajj Malcolm Shabazz" in San Francisco's "BayView - National Black Newspaper"
"Approximately four and half decades later, his grandson, Malcolm Shabazz, who is also Muslim, working in the service of oppressed people, made his pilgrimage."

Malcolm: In the middle is Sheikh Faisal Ghazawi, Imam of the
Mosque Haramain. The Holy Kabaa in Makkah is in the backround

So whether or not "robbery" was the reason for his death, the more important question is what was the reason for his presence in Mexico City. Surely his "service {to} to oppressed people" did not include the Aztec and Spanish colonial tourist attractions of that city.

From "Islamic Plot to Bomb U.S. Embassy Reported in Mexico {City}" in "Borderland Beat:"

"The items included a cardboard cylindrical container that held 22.7 kilograms of high explosives. It was sealed in paraffin wax along with two kinds of copper wrapped in plastic. Navy agents also found four multi-channel radios, a frequency analyzer, a liter of nitric acid, six liters of pure glycerin, a plastic bag containing detonating cords and a kilogram of aluminum. Nearby was a copy of the Koran and a Muslim prayer rug. The report quoted by the news media said police seized identification papers from a Somali man called Ahmed who was using the name Arturo Hernandez Hernandez. Papers he carried bore the logo of the Islamic extremist group Al Shabaab, the news reports said. He entered Mexico from Guatemala."

"If the media reports are true, they appear to verify recent statements at congressional hearings by Homeland Security Department officials who said Islamic terrorists might be using Mexico as a back door for attacks against the United States."

The question should be: What was this radical Black Muslim doing in Mexico City and what non-American Muslims did he make contact with?

ABC is pushing the lie that AMNESTY does not mean what it means. But the problem for ABC and their comrades on the Left is that they have not yet won their Orwellian war on the English language. Clearly:

Under current law, the penalty for the offense of entering and/or remaining in this country illegally is deportation.

Any law that pardons that offense by ignoring that penalty and granting the offenders a legal status they had not previously been entitled to, is by definition an Amnesty.

That would remain true even if that law's fines were not waiverable, the back taxes (from lower income undocumented workers) were not imaginary, and its other requirements were not mere tokens.

    Maybe but...

Alinsky and Marx both had the same vision: the defeat of capitalism by the “have-nots”(aka: proletarian) to create a socialist utopia. They only differed in their means to this end. Marx saw an inevitable violent revolution of the proletatian, while Alinsky saw semi-violent confrontations and engineered institutional collapse as the means to the same end.

And while declared Marxist regime have directly killed millions during their armed revolutions, they have in fact killed far more by the engineered starvation and physical deprivation created by the policies of the socialist institutions they erected over the ruins of capitalist institutions. The final death toll from an Alinskyite success would not be much different than that of a Marxist success. And since the two are "fellow travelers" it would be hard to have one without (at least for a time) some of the other.

Not much difference in my book!

Speaking in Spanish, if Martinez said “Jesus” he would have pronounced it “Hay-sous” and NOT the “Gee-zus.'

While in English some can make the claim that "Jesus" can sound like "Jihad," in Spanish “Jesus” could never have sounded like “Jihad” as heard by the cop who subdued him.

Even if the guy was a babbling nut rather than a Jihadi with concrete terrorist intentions, it definitely "sounds like" the FBI is again fabricating/concealing evidence after the fact to cover up for Islam.

What a sham that the federal agency that, in former years, protected America from terrorists (by crushing the likes of Obama buddy Ayer's Weatherman and the original Black Panther Party) has been reduced to this point under the Obama regime.

The only reason for Reagan's leftist offspring and their collaborating media to speculation on his position - when their are documented quotes from him on the subject - is pure deception.

While Reagan was a friend to many homosexuals and did not support California banning homosexuals from teaching, he clearly spoke out on his opposition to "gay marriage" and the "gay movement":

"Society has always regarded marital love as a sacred expression of the bond between a man and a woman. It is the means by which families are created and society itself is extended into the future. In the Judeo-Christian tradition it is the means by which husband and wife participate with God in the creation of a new human life. It is for these reasons, among others, that our society has always sought to protect this unique relationship. In part the erosion of these values has given way to a celebration of forms of expression most reject. We will resist the efforts of some to obtain government endorsement of homosexuality."

"My criticism is that [the gay movement] isn’t just asking for civil rights; it’s asking for recognition and acceptance of an alternative lifestyle which I do not believe society can condone, nor can I."

These quotes clearly shows that his opposition to banning homosexuals from teaching DID NOT extend to a proselytizing gay movement or a gay corruption of the institution of marriage. It was no more than a Don't Ask Don't Tell position for teachers.

Predictably Obama is trying to make America celebrate his treasonist Commie holiday of May 1st - by using his customary Orwellian doublespeak of "Loyalty Day."

As other FReepers have pointed out, America created "Labor Day" and chose to celebrate it so as to distiquish it from the "May Day" celebrated by Communist, Socialist & Anarchist.

"The September date originally chosen by the CLU of New York and observed by many of the nation's trade unions for the past several years was selected rather than the more widespread International Workers' Day because Cleveland was concerned that observance of the latter {May date} would be associated with the nascent Communist, Syndicalist and Anarchist movements"

Despite the 8th century invasion of Central Asia you cite, the Islamic conversion of the region was a totally different thing. Here's an excerpt from wikipedia (Link) concerning the later Mongol 13th & 14th century invasions. Note that the Mongols only converted to Islam in the early 14th century, long after their military and demographic invasion & occupation.
William of Rubruck, the emissary of the Kingdom of France to Sartaq Khan (son of Batu) travelled to the Caucasus in 1253. He wrote that the Circassians (Circassians here does not refer to the Circassians proper, but rather from all North Caucasians from Anapa to Avaria, including Circassians, Ubykhs, Abazins, Ossetes, Ingush, Chechens and Avars) had never "bowed to Mongol rule", despite the fact that whole fifth of the Mongol armies were at that time devoted to the task of crushing Caucasian resistance once and for all....

    Second Mongol Invasion

In order to avoid future conflicts with the Mongols and give the Dzurdzuks time to recover, the ruler of the Princedom of Simsir (also known by the shorter name of "Simsim"; it was a small Dzurdzuk-run feudal principality separate from Alania and Dzurdzuketia, located between the two rivers, known to the Mongols as Gayur Khan (though this probably was not what his own subjects called him), allied itself with the Golden Horde. To underline Simsim's loyalty to the Horde, Gayur even adopted Sunni Islam as a state religion, althoughthis move was purely symbolic (as the bulk of the Chechens were still pagan and those that were Muslim or Christian were highly syncretic in their practice).

And my idea that Tamerlane did the real conversion was also off base.
The Chechen feudal state of Simsim, after the First Mongol Invasion (which its monarchy somehow miraculously survived), allied itself not to Georgia, but to the Golden Horde,[5] and even nominally converted to Islam, when faced with the threat of invasion. This underlines the causes for the later conversion of the Chechens to Islam in the 16th to 19th centuries, in order to secure the sympathy of the Ottomon Empire and the rest of the Muslim world in their conflict with the Christian state of Russia. (Same link as above.)
But before this Tamerlane "The Sword of Islam" had in the late 14th century made peace with the Chechens. He gave them his sabre (which became a treasured cultural relic to them) and they grew to honor him to the point of erecting statues of him and not of any Ottoman leaders. ( Check google image search on "tamerlane statue chechnya" )

    1) The Byzantine Emperor ask for Christian help and got Christian crusaders. Dudaev, through his appointed Mufti called for Muslim help and he got Islamic Jihadis and officially an Islamic war.

    2) As conqueror (by massacres & atrocities) of fellow Muslim rulers in the Middle East, Tamerlane is not hero of Arab (or Persia) Muslims. But after Central Asia was conquered in the name of and converted to Islam by none other than Tamerlane “The Sword of Islam", he made that area the center of his dynasty. When his Islamic Central Asia prospered (at the expense of other Islamic areas) he became a hero for the Islamized ethnic groups of that area, who profited from his rise.

Even if the FBI did and screwed up, you'd have to be a fool if you didn't see everything that mother says as Jihad by other means. After all she named his born son after:
From Amazon's description of the book:
"He blazed through Asia, razing cities to the ground. He tortured conquered inhabitants without mercy, sometimes ordering them buried alive, at other times decapitating them. Over the ruins of conquered Baghdad {before its "conversion" to Islam}, Tamerlane had his soldiers erect a pyramid of 90,000 enemy heads. As he and his armies swept through Central Asia, sacking, and then rebuilding cities, Tamerlane gradually imposed an {Islamic} iron rule..."
And the US gave this family asylum! Would Israel have granted asylum to German parents who named their 1st born child Hitler?

For the umpteen time: Read your quote again (using my past replies as learning aids). If you still, days later, don't get it then here's my final reply to you on the matter:

Unquestionably, you are adamantly clinging to a patently false reading of the Obama quote when the clear, simple and true reading has been presented to you over and over again by many FReepers. The only question is whether it is from stubborn pride, limited ability to comprehend what you read or a trollish mission to blunt criticism of Obama.

In any case your acting the part of a hopeless loser.

Schumer, the broker of the 1986 Amnesty, finds new GOP suckers to dupe once again - foremost among them is Marco Rubio.

Schumer pours the champagne to celebrate Congressional passage of the 1986 Amnesty, disguised as "reform and control."

To coral the votes to pass the 1986 Amnesty, Schumer promised, "We are here to solve problems before they become crises. Sure enough, if we do nothing, our immigration problem will become an immigration crisis."

Are we doomed to repeat the catastrophic mistakes of that past Amnesty because Schumer finds a sap who had been cast as the great hope of the GOP - but is to young and/or ambitious to learn from history?

If you're going to believe any politician on Immigration believe Lama Smith. He's the real deal on Immigration enforcement.

He wrote the last real Immigration enforcement law (IIRIRA) which was passed by Congress and with the strength of the Gingrich veto-proof majority Clinton compelled to signed into law in 1996. By the late 90s others in Congress, the executive branch and the courts began undermining it. The problem they had with that law was it was working... it was turning the screws on illegals and criminal aliens.

"In an era of voter empowerment and surprise, the GOP’s opposition to a popular gun regulation could backfire."

"Popular" only according to leftwing's phony gun polls, gun groups & grass-root gun-control campaign supporters.

"Bull Moose Sportsmen is a fringe organization run by Democratic activists that has been rejected from membership into the major gun and hunting groups’ umbrella organization because it refuses to reveal its funding sources."

Could not have been that bag that exploded.

Look at how the silver crowd control fence that the bag is leaning against is behind it in the “before” photo.

Now look at how that fence is bent forward and to the right, into the mail box, in the “after” photo.

An explosion in the bag would not bend that fence in that direction.
