Meanwhile, in the shadows, Lisp developers continue to write enlightened code. A more elegant weapon, from a more civilized age.

I guess then COBOL under zOS is like a cosplaying a steampunk programmer?

I'm actually okay with that :)

As much as i love trump shaking the bowl, this is garbage and does nothing really. “Son, I am disappoint”

Consider this published plan. Two fudgepackers claiming a child will get less of a hit than two actual people in a real marriage with a real child.

One baby daddy and his slut with an anchor pay less than two committed adults attempting to actually raise their child.

Sorry but with the talk of tariffs, support for expansion of Brady and now this, the donald has pretty much lost my vote. Its tough, because I want someone, anyone, to burn it all down. But not in an Obama way.

I guess just kicking her out of bed and his house weren't sufficient for such a heinous transgression.

That is just his story. I would not be surprised if the truth were far worse, and his response simply an attempt to "justify" it somehow. Maybe he plans to opt for Sharia arbitration?

From your post: Statins kill. There's a reason they make you feel like you have a hangover 7x24 (oh, but you'll get used to it!), they are killing you.

Nothing is a panacea, but statins definitely work miracles for some. They also do not have he side effects you claim on everyone. Proper monitoring by a cariologist is the other half of the equation, of course.

There is simply no substitute for getting your body fat to 12% or less...AND getting you heart healthy by vigorous exercise. Vigorous exercise for a 70yr old man would be a BRISK walk. If you're younger, step it up a bit...bicycle...jog etc. Just do it. It's the only answer. Actually there is, and statins can be a part of that. Anecdotally as a data point that contradicts your statement, I have suffered hart disease for 20 years, my body fat percentage has always been normal to low and before my chest pains became unbearable I led a very active life with plenty of gym time and a fairly healthy diet, although with room for improvement. Now however, I a unable to exercise strenuously without monitoring (my last heart attack was June of this year). That was from a brisk walk, and I am under 55. Suggesting strenuous exercise can be as deadly as you suggest statins are.

Oh, and good diet. Slightly high on the protein side. NO SEED OILS, Olive oil and butter ONLY. No refined carbs.

You obviously don't understand how olive oil is made, relying on both the seeds and the fruit. Then you also suggest butter, which is far higher in saturate fat and cholesterol than most any seed oil outside of coconut oil. the refined carbs comment makes no sense without defining what you mean by refined, but most people prefer their carbs either as sugars or as prepared carbohydrates like pasta, potatoes, rice and bread.

No more than one standard, pussy-ass drink per day. And no, you can't save them up for the weekend.

Abstaining from alcohol is generally healthy, yes.

Your post contradicts itself in addition to being flat out wrong. Please leave the quackery to Dr Oz and the Oprah crowd.

Statins are powerful and effective when prescribed and monitored by a Cardiologist, and for some, like myself, they are the only game in town.

CFG reminds me of those 2 GOPe frauds, Jack Kemp & Bill Bennett who were amnesty pimps.

They remind me a lot of the rainbow coalition. Modus operandi is pretty much the same.

I recall Michael Dell standing up to them in a very similar way. What was the name of his company? It wasn't Hewlett Packard, but still drawing a blank here...

Or alternatively, importing thousands under L1 visas for training, and then shipping them back oversees along with the jobs.

L1 abuse is even worse than H1.

Something I have been taking for 5 years (only candidate suspect is Crestor) has really impacted my memory. I feel just like my uncle described his early stages of alzheimers (since deceased, RIP). After 5 years there has been little change in that aspect, while my health has definitely benefitted. I tried CoQ-10 as a supplement for a couple months, didn’t see any effect but just don’t know. Some of this I am simply getting used to. Write things down, follow a pattern of behavior, make checklists, at least mentally.

I have had serious heart disease since my mid-30s, and a half dozen doctors have insisted treating my blood pressure issues with fish oil, and my chest pains with anti-depressants. For 10 years I walked around on the verge of death with 98% blockage, and finally found a cardiologist who considers both to be “quackery” in his words. IMO his work has kept me alive in spite of my genetics. It has not been cheap nor easy, but it has been effective.

You have to be your ultimate keeper, but my opinion is if you are dealing with your heart, you want a seasoned cardiologist.

Gas detected after the blast, prompting evacuation. Which means there was indeed gas service to the neighborhood. I doubt they have basements, those are pretty uncommon in local developments that new, but I have always wondered if people sealing and foaming their attics might be courting a hazard? It seems to be fairly popular here.

Positioned in the seat of moral authority by the financial media, she could have positioned Lucent, already respected as a tech driver, as a whistleblower. The fallout would have been a tough row to hoe, but the end game leaves you intact and your competition (and their political enablers) completely neutered. Instead she decided to play the game and spin the wheel.

I agree and I really hate to lose what Walker has done. Really, he has indeed accomplished something. I want to imagine a race where trump wasn’t there; in that setting he would have been the Jeb! foil.

But strong leadership and solid goals will always yield paydirt. If he continues at the state level good things will come. Walker is a gemstone in the alluvial deposit of the GOPe IMO.

Brought to you by someone fired up on Trump, just for the record.

RE: Cruz as VP for Trump....

I never really saw him as VP material (potentially wasted opportunity), and as a stepping stone to the oval office I have my doubts; I think our boy Ted is far more capable than a coattail rider.

But I have also considered something else; A cruz VP position, a fight over AG, and subsequent resignation by Cruz and nomination for AG.

Followed by lots of common sense changes destroying the established oligarchy.

And then as a “fixer”, ballot for the top slot in ‘24.

I don’t understand all of the intricacies of nominations and appointments, but my sincerest hope, as it was in 2000 and again in 2004 (with much disappointment), is that I see people going to prison. Preferably to await capital punishment the next morning.

Call me strange but I notice wierd stuff for no reason. Like the "dahl" in both names. Which reminded me of another "dahl":

"Dahl has been outfitting the defenders of freedom for over a century, and isn't about to stop anytime soon. We've built our company on the foundation that dead customers can't be repeat customers - keeping you alive is in our best interest! We also know that those of you doing the government's secret dirty work have enough to contend with and don't need to fight your weapon, too. That's why we at Dahl have strived to manufacture the smoothest and most stable guns on the market. And when you get surrounded - and you will - you'll be glad to know your Dahl has been precision machined to remain as accurate during sustained fire as humanly possible. So make sure you bring a Dahl with you the next time you go on assignment. It just might bring you back."

Actually, with the push to recognize women who have contributed to the greatness of America and society as a whole, the current hand-wringing over a lack of women in STEM fields, the transition into the digital age and as a display of the general respect the country has always shown for veterans, I can think of the perfect candidate.
