Ted and Don

There was an interesting part of the debate when Trump brought up N. Korea as a problem. Trump stated:

One thing we will say and I would like to get back to the Iran situation. We're talking about Iran. The agreement was terrible. It was incompetent. I've never seen anything like it. One of the worst contracts of any kind I've ever seen.

And nobody ever mentions North Korea where you have this maniac sitting there and he actually has nuclear weapons and somebody better start thinking about North Korea and perhaps a couple of other places. But certainly North Korea.

And Ted and I have spoken. We've -- a lot of us have spoken. We're talking about Iran. They are bad actors, bad things are going to happen. But in the meantime, you have somebody right now in North Korea who has got nuclear weapons and who is saying almost every other week, I'm ready to use them. And we don't even mention it.

While I won’t rule out them working together in some way, I do think some of you are reading too much into this. Of course Donald Trump and Ted Cruz spoke on Iran. As we know, they both spoke at the rally.

Mine too. But if they plan on working as a team I will not object

Here is the reason that I don’t like him....

We are in a period of extreme animus toward the ruling class, Washington insiders, “the system”, etc... Also, this will be a relatively easy election to defeat the Democrat nominee due to Obama fatigue and generally shitty candidates.

This opportunity could be used to once and for all nominate and elect an ACTUAL CONSERVATIVE OUTSIDER to the Presidency.

What many of us fear is that this opportunity will be wasted by because many conservatives are going to be putting their support behind a candidate who is :

1.) Not conservative
2.) Can’t win in the general due to his serious personality flaws.

I agree that Trump is smart. I acknowledge that he would be a formidable force for good in terms of trade and immigration. I doubt he would ever roll over for the Democrats like the current crop of eunuchs in Washington.

But with all of that being said, Cruz is all that and more. Trump is getting in the way of the best candidate and taking support that would otherwise go to Cruz.

“If Trump were so dishonest and fake, why is Ted — who is brilliant and nobody’s fool — showing so much trust in Trump?”

Trump himself will tell you that he does what is best for him. He has admitted to buying influences. Now, he wants to bypass the middlemen (politicians) and directly buy the office.

I am sure Ted Cruz understands this, but he is aiming at being on Trump’s good side until the egomaniac goes down in flames. Ted Cruz and Trump are clearly going after the same voters. Ted Cruz is just buying his time.

Unfortunately, Ted Cruz comes off as stiff in debates. His previous debate accomplishments are irrelevant; to “regular folks”, he just cannot connect. Even Rubio has better stage presence. The debates are not helping him for as long as Trump is stealing the limelight. Even if Trump is gone, the horse-face and the RINOs will take over. This is frustrating that the most competent guy just comes as Algorish.

Yeah, right, all of Trump's support will go to Cruz, including the 25% of African-Americans who like/support Trump!

Wake up, Cruz can't win the nomination, he is not big enough or popular enough, the GOP-e will not let him win. Trump transcends, he trumps!

Either you accept the God-given gift of Donald Trump or you accept the nomination of Jeb Bush and the probable election of Hillary. With President Donald Trump, you will someday see President Cruz or President Walker, and later other solid pro-American, constitutionalist patriots for generations to come, or you see America collapse. This is not hyperbole, this is reality.

RE: Cruz as VP for Trump....

I never really saw him as VP material (potentially wasted opportunity), and as a stepping stone to the oval office I have my doubts; I think our boy Ted is far more capable than a coattail rider.

But I have also considered something else; A cruz VP position, a fight over AG, and subsequent resignation by Cruz and nomination for AG.

Followed by lots of common sense changes destroying the established oligarchy.

And then as a “fixer”, ballot for the top slot in ‘24.

I don’t understand all of the intricacies of nominations and appointments, but my sincerest hope, as it was in 2000 and again in 2004 (with much disappointment), is that I see people going to prison. Preferably to await capital punishment the next morning.

Trump clearly has a lot of respect for Cruz and is being what can be called advised by Ted.

AND “JUDAS” had a lot of respect for Jesus.... (more or less)..
Trump has found his “JUDAS” moment..

I don’t get why many Cruz supporters dislike Trump so much. If Trump were so dishonest and fake, why is Ted — who is brilliant and nobody’s fool — showing so much trust in Trump?

BECAUSE... Trump has the right enemies..
BUT that does not make him YOUR friend..
or even a compatriot.. or acquaintance..

IF Trump draws some FLAK... makes it easier to drop YOUR BOMBS..
well aimed.. for the right things... for the right reasons..

BOMBS not “TALK”.. about bombs..

I’m a Cruz supporter. I don’t dislike Trump, but I would rather see Cruz at the top of the ticket. The Trump supporters I dislike are the ones who keep saying that Trump should put Cruz on the Supreme Court. Not that Ted would make a bad Supreme Court justice, but we Cruz supporters would like to see Ted in the White House, not on the Supreme Court. It would be like if every time there were a story about Trump, I would post “Trump for press secretary”. I’m sure that would annoy the heck out of Trump supporters. Just as talk of Cruz and the Supreme Court annoys the heck out of me.
