After months of cynical and predictably tragic racial pot-stirring in Ferguson, Missouri — the bill has finally come due. And as is always the case when the mob-manufactured smoke clears, it is the good people of a predominantly black working class city who are stuck with the check. On top of everything else they have dealt with since the media chose to pour satellite-truckloads of gasoline on the Michael Brown Lie, Ferguson residents are now seeing their property values plummet almost by 50%.

The builders of Toronto’s mysterious tunnel just wanted a place to “hang out,” police said Monday after announcing they had found the two men responsible and would not be charging them. The pair, whom police tracked down thanks to tips from the public, told investigators they built the tunnel for “personal reasons” and their explanation has been verified, Constable Victor Kwong said. Constable Kwong said police have determined there was never any criminal intent or danger to public safety. Toronto bylaw enforcement said they would look into whether any city rules had been breached and whether any tickets or fines...

These incredible photos of so-called 'slurpee waves' were taken by surfer Jonathan Nimerfroh in Nantucket, Massachusetts. He took his camera out when he noticed the horizon looked strange - and then spotted the surf had turn slushy. The stunning images were taken as snow and icy rain continues to cause chaos across the country - with states of emergency being declared in the...

There are still 10 months to go in 2015, but Mike Barnicle is a strong frontrunner for Clumsiest Comment of the Year. In a Morning Joe segment today on ISIS outrages, and shortly after mentioning the atrocity in which ISIS burned dozens of people to death in Iraq, Barnicle said that the complexity of dealing with ISIS makes "you want to set your hair on fire."

The 40-hour workweek was championed by labor unions in the 19th century as a boon to their overworked members. Ford Motor Company implemented it in 1914 after Henry Ford, the company’s founder, concluded that the then-48-hour week was too long and hurt productivity. Ford’s foresight bolstered the middle class and established the U.S. as a model of economic security for the world. But that stability is now being threatened by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which, for reasons that have nothing to do with the health and well-being of employees, reduced the work week to 30 hours. Rather than helping...

Resist we much? We just can’t. Al Sharpton is the funniest man on MSNBC, and by default the funniest man in cable news. On a network populated with no small share of buffoons, Sharpton’s ultra-pro-Obama boosterism and alarmingly frequent mispronunciation of names, places, and objects has made PoliticsNation a must-watch for anyone who needs a good, hearty laugh.

Sweyn Forkbeard, the nation's shortest reigning monarch, began his rule on Christmas Day, 1001 years ago in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Officials want to twin the town with Sweyn's birthplace of Roskilde, Denmark and stage a festival. They also hope to mark his death with a re-enactment of a Viking burial.
