There are still 10 months to go in 2015, but Mike Barnicle is a strong frontrunner for Clumsiest Comment of the Year. In a Morning Joe segment today on ISIS outrages, and shortly after mentioning the atrocity in which ISIS burned dozens of people to death in Iraq, Barnicle said that the complexity of dealing with ISIS makes "you want to set your hair on fire."

Leftists always use the complexity excuse when addressing problems that they, through their policies, have created.

Take the dissolution of the black family structure - it’s ENTIRELY the fault of leftist gov’t policy,

and when a solution is proposed (roll back their policies), they claim that that answer is “too simplistic”.

“He who will not work nor shall he eat”, indeed, is “simple”,
BUT IT WORKS.

But, but, but Barnicle is a LEFTIST! He is SMARTER THAN YOU! They prove their ignorance every day, but they are still touted, by Big Media, as ‘the smartest guy in the room’.

Everything that actually is ‘simple’ is ‘complex’, and everything that actually is ‘complex’ is ‘simple’ to a Leftist..................

they are still touted, by Big Media, as ‘the smartest guy in the room’.

And everything that is evil is good and everything that is bitter is sweet?

and hatred for my friendship.

Someone should ask Barnicle after every statement he makes when George Carlin wrote that.

The full quote: "With regard to ISIS, the lack of governance, hopelessness among median age population of about 19 years of age, you want so set your hair on fire it's so complex."

You cannot expect "governance" from Muslims, at least not the kind understood and practiced in the west. As for hopelessness, there are tens of millions of young, hopeless non-Muslims in the world and they are not running around crucifying, beheading, and burning Christians and Jews. Maybe a rocket scientist like Barnicle would set his hair on fire over a perceived complexity. That perceived complexity comes from one and only one place - a lack of moral clarity and a belief in a true God.

Literally, it is that simple. A belief in right and wrong and a religion that drives the belief. It works both ways; the Muslim belief in a false God and wrong; and the Christian belief in true God and right. It makes me wonder why Christian clergy is not more outspoken. I suppose too many of them are too worried about queers and other abominations. Too much of Christendom has been led astray.

Funny how the complexity argument doesn’t keep them from thinking they can successfully manage national economies.
