Wal-Mart is making Twinkies available this weekend, even though Hostess says it asked retailers to wait until Monday to start selling the spongy yellow snack cakes. The world's largest retailer announced Friday that the cakes were available at about 1,600 stores and that about 3,000 of its 4,000 U.S. stores should have them by Sunday morning. That's a day before the July 15 return that Hostess has trumpeted in its marketing.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting. Rodney Dewon Hill, 19, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on eight complaints of shooting with intent to kill, police said. An arrest warrant filed Tuesday at the Oklahoma County courthouse said Hill was identified by one of the victims of the shooting after the Oklahoma City Thunder's Monday night game. Tulsa police have arrested two women for first-degree murder after finding a dead 19-m0nth-old baby in a vehicle they occupied during a traffic stop. Court records show Mica Shoate, 22 and Jazmin Williams, 22, each face one complaint of first-degree murder in connection with the death of the child identified as Zemontay Green. Police say the other occupant of the vehicle in which the baby was found, Jazmin Williams, remains in custody but no information has been released about possible charges against her at this hour. Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) is extending the deadline for making its supposedly retired Windows XP operating system available to custom PC builders. Under the plan, system builders will be allowed to take delivery of XP licenses and media through May 30. Previously, Microsoft had announced a Jan. 31 XP cutoff date for system builders, which are typically smaller, build-to-order vendors. Here in Indiana the polls have the candidates splitting the vote. Here are the numbers, according to a new Indy Star/WTHR poll: Barack Obama's ahead slightly, with 46% compared to John McCain's 45%. This is the third poll in the Hoosier State this week that shows a neck-and-neck race. Indiana's gone Republican in presidential races since 1968.
