Michigan Republicans want to pass a blitz of legislation that restricts the right to vote in the key battleground state — and they have an audacious plan to get their ideas enacted, even though they have to contend with a Democratic governor who could ordinarily veto their bills.State lawmakers proposed 39 different bills targeting elections, including ones that restrict absentee voting, a bill that could prevent the state from certifying elections, and a pair of bills that would give ordinary poll workers a simply extraordinary amount of power to restrict voting.Until recently, Michigan seemed safe from the kind of anti-voting...

Materials from the Committee's Investigation into Russian Active Measures In 2017 and 2018, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) undertook an investigation into Russia’s interference campaign targeting the 2016 U.S. election. The Committee’s investigation came on the heels of an Intelligence Community assessment, which found: “Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump.”...

The San Luis Obispo County court filing is the first official public record confirming she made allegations at that time. A court document from 1996 shows former Senate staffer Tara Reade told her ex-husband she was sexually harassed while working for Joe Biden in 1993. The declaration — exclusively obtained by The Tribune in San Luis Obispo, California — does not say Biden committed the harassment nor does it mention Reade’s more recent allegations of sexual assault. Reade’s then-husband Theodore Dronen wrote the court declaration. Dronen at the time was contesting a restraining order Reade filed against him days after...

Former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates said Sunday that President Trump would likely be indicted on obstruction of justice if he were not president. “I’ve been a prosecutor for nearly 30 years and I can tell you I’ve personally prosecuted obstruction cases on far, far less evidence than this," Yates, whom Trump fired after she refused to defend his travel ban targeting several Muslim-majority countries, said on NBC's "Meet the Press." “I believe if he were not the president of the United States he would likely be indicted on obstruction.” Yates's comments come a few weeks after the redacted report...

One of President Donald Trump's picks to serve on the Federal Reserve Board has written that women should be banned from refereeing, announcing or beer vending at men's college basketball games, asking if there was any area in life "where men can take vacation from women." Stephen Moore, an economic commentator and former Trump campaign adviser, made those and similar comments in several columns reviewed by CNN's KFile that were published on the website of the conservative National Review magazine in 2001, twice in 2002 and 2003...

The native American activist Nathan Phillips who is involved in the targeting of the Covington teens is a REAL sketchy character. He apparently has TWO active voter registration records in Ypsilanti (the Berkeley of Michigan). He's a "Vietnam veteran" - but was born in 1955... His wife also has an active voter registration record in Ypsi. She died in 2014...

President Donald Trump said Frday he is considering declaring a national emergency to help pay for his long-desired border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. The president, when asked by ABC News' senior national correspondent Terry Moran during a press conference, acknowledged that he would consider declaring a national emergency to help get funds to build the wall "for the security of our country". Trump did not elaborate on the details of such a process.

Jonah Goldberg wrote a column for National Review before departing for his Christmas holiday in Hawaii. Was it a retelling of a long ago night before Christmas, when a tiny Jonah in footy PJs couldn’t sleep for hope of a pony under the tree? No. It was a screed titled “Conservative Facts.” What set off Goldberg was a column in American Greatness by Chris Buskirk titled “Death of The Weekly Standard Signals Rebirth of the Right.” Goldberg speckles his efforts with pop culture references to things like Star Trek. Example: in this column, he says Washington “picked a wrong week...

The Washington Post's David Fahrenthold (D-Harvard) is currently yammering mightily about Donald Trump's charitable foundations. However, when Fahrenthold and his "watchdog media" buds at the Post reviewed the dirty dealings at the Clinton Foundation in June of last year, the "vigilant pack" was strangely silent. It appears as though David Fahrenthold is 2016's version of 1998's Jane Mayer of The New Yorker. When the Clinton crime machine needed a hitpiece on Linda Tripp in 1998, Jane Mayer stepped to the plate for the Clinton machine. Not many people knew that Mayer's husband, William Hamilton [in the DC political incest pool,...

From the BBC:2226: The Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, quoting a senior official of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan, said the US made the offer immediately after the disaster damaged Fukushima No 1 nuclear plant. According to the unnamed senior official, US support was based on dismantling the troubled reactors run by Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) some 250 km (155 miles) northeast of Tokyo. However, the government and TEPCO thought the cooling system could be restored by themselves, the report said. Am I reading this right? Our government demanded that the Japanese dismantle - that is, permanently remove - over five gigawatts...

The protests usually start after the Jummah prayers on Friday (6AM EST). Will the Saudi Shi'a Muslims "stick it to the man"? How about Bahrain? The Qatif region has the largest concentration of Shi'a Muslims in Saudi Arabia. The Shi'a minority is traditionally discriminated against by the Wahhabist monarchy, and their discontent should not necessarily be taken as indicating a wider rebelliousness among Saudi subjects generally. However, they do form a large part of the population in many of the principal oil-producing areas in the east.

I have a friend who is going to a RN conference in DC this June (National Nurses United). The speakers for this event all seem to be Leftist icons (Barbara Erhenreich, Richard Trumka, Barbara Boxer, etc.). The friend was wondering if I knew any conservative RN advocates/activists who would be a good counter to these speakers, or how she could find anyone of that nature. I did some research on National Nurses United, and they're depicted as a Left-leaning RN advocacy group (super-union). They support Democrat candidates and oppose Republican candidates. They're mad at Obama because they want Single-Payer, and...

That's odd - how come the perennially offended 9/11 widows (aka the Jersey Girls or the Jersey Widows) haven't weighed in on the Muslim-In-Chief's stunning, Biden-beating gaffe? Yoohoo - Kristen Breitweiser, Lorie Van Auken, Mindy Kleinberg and Patty Casazza, whazzup? Got the weekend off? Or are you so in love with the First Muslim that mum's the word? Was Ann Coulter right after all?

U.S. commercial fishermen paid fines amounting to tens of millions of dollars to the fisheries "law enforcement" division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration over the last five years. The money ended up in an unrecorded account (slush fund) for NOAA scumbags administrators & cops, a forensic audit for a U.S. inspector general shows. http://www.gloucestertimes.com/local/x383291258/Audit-cites-wide-fund-abuse-by-NOAA-cops *Peasants - so their Elite Masters in government can live better than they do. Let's look into browser site-blocking software to put the hurt on the LVRJ thugs. I'll start it out with the Firefox add-ons page "block":https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=block&cat=all&lver=any&pid=1&sort=&pp=20&lup=&advanced= Let's see if we can get a number of browsers to deal with these weenies. Make it go viral, and propagate it across the Web through your friends. If anyone has experience with decent blocking software, chime in.

Freeper GreenAccord gave me the heads-up this morning that the Google web cache of the Moveon Hate-Petraeus page has itself gone missing. One could say that it's just Google's busy little web cache automated spiders doing their job all unattended like and that they finally got around to scraping the Moveon website caches and updating their information. EXCEPT for the fact that a Google web cache of ANOTHER Moveon page that was taken at nearly the same time as the Moveon Hate Petraeus page is STILL THERE, and hasn't been updated. So, there were phone calls, email messages, etc. and...
