  • (Vanity) Need help finding info on a 1960's experimental helicopter (jets with rotors)

Years ago, I viewed a documentary on experimental helicopters and saw a craft that caught my attention. The craft was a hybrid of 4 mini-jets (two on each side), stubby wings, rotors with a boxcar-like appearance. Not sure if it was made by Bell or Sikorsky and it was an experimental "proof of concept". Meant to be a "taxi" shuttling passengers on short suburban/urban routes or to nearby cities. Anyone know the name of this vehicle?

It appears the Cruz Campaign is planning to slow walk the information on the 2011/2012 campaign loans: (Yahoo News) Ted Cruz has rebuffed a request by the Federal Election Commission to disclose more information about some $1 million in loans he received from two major Wall Street banks during his 2012 Senate campaign.

Let’s imagine for a moment that Donald Trump isn’t going to be the Republican nominee for president. There are three ways this fantasy — and it is likely nothing more than a fantasy — becomes a reality.

The Trump-bashers are starting up a list of conservative supporters of Donald Trump — so that they can blackball these Trump supporters. The list was initiated by Cruz supporter Amanda Carpenter who is usually kind and intelligent but now suffers from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
  • One last indignity: The tea party swipes John Boehner’s seat

Warren Davidson, a businessman and former Army Ranger, won a 15-way Republican primary Tuesday in the special election for Ohio’s 8th Congressional District. The tea party candidate rather easily bested more moderate candidates, including two state lawmakers, in a campaign that quickly became ground zero for the party’s ongoing identity struggle in the House that Boehner used to run. The winner of a June special election will serve out the rest of 2016 in Boehner’s seat, and in such a deep red congressional district, that winner is likely to be Davidson.

An American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Board Member in Colorado has resigned after making national news headlines for urging people to kill Donald Trump supporters. Loring Wirbel of Colorado Springs, posted on Facebook, “The thing is, we have to really reach out to those who might consider voting for Trump and say, ‘This is Goebbels. This is the final solution. If you are voting for him I will have to shoot you before Election Day.’ They’re not going to listen to reason, so when justice is gone, there’s always force…”

A couple days ago we reported that team Kasich was facing a court challenge to their ballot access in Pennsylvania. Specifically, the plaintiff in the case alleged that Team Kasich failed to file the required 2,000 valid signatures to appear on the ballot in Pennsylvania. The Kasich campaign filed 2,184 signatures, but the plaintiff alleged that well over 184 of those signatures were invalid and/or fraudulent for a whole host of reasons.
  • Darth Vader's Imperial March Sounds Much Happier In A Major Key

John Williams' score to Star Wars is one of the most recognizable pieces in history. The start with the blaring trumpets, like it's announcing a major event as the film's opening crawl reads the happenings of the incoming space adventure. The Star Wars theme isn't just the only memorable theme by any means. The second most recognizable is Vader's theme, or what is known as The Imperial March. It's low minor key gives visual cues of something sinister and lurking around the corner. It's a famous tune that's been used in parodies, TV commercials, sports events, you name it. But...

It was just two days ago that Bloomberg implored officials to “bring on a cashless future” in an Op-Ed that calls notes and coins “dirty, dangerous, unwieldy, and expensive.” You probably never thought of your cash that way, but increasingly, authorities and the powers that be seem determined to lay the groundwork for the abolition of what Bloomberg calls “antiquated” physical money. We’ve documented the cash ban calls on a number of occasions including, most recently, those that emanated from DNB, Norway’s largest bank where executive Trond Bentestuen said that although “there is approximately 50 billion kroner in circulation, the...

Libertarian radio talk show host Glenn Beck has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, and supporter of Ted Cruz for President. Beck has developed the reputation for spreading countless amounts of lies about the real estate mogul, attempting to damage his character. While he might call Trump a liberal now (after the front runner refused to come on his radio show), Beck expressed a completely different opinion just 5 years ago.
  • Helicopter Money Arrives: Switzerland Referendum to Hand Out $2500 Monthly To All Citizens

With Citi's chief economist proclaiming "only helicopter money can save the world now," and the Bank of England pre-empting paradropping money concerns, it appears that Australia's largest investment bank's forecast that money-drops were 12-18 months away was too conservative. While The Finns consider a "basic monthly income" for the entire population, Swiss residents are to vote on a countrywide referendum about a radical plan to pay every single adult a guaranteed income of around $2500 per month, with authorities insisting that people will still want to find a job.

Thank you for the love expressed on Bristol's blog post. The homegoing of our Grandma Lena yesterday is so sad, but we'll always be uplifted and encouraged by her strong, tenacious Christian spirit. This beautiful 95-year-old Yupik Eskimo elder is matriarch to our five generations here; she was a hard working commercial fisherman who loved God and family so much! She's been a blessing to our entire state of Alaska. But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love...
  • You Do Not Understand Sarah Palin

The conservative commentariat has imploded in dismay at Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Donald Trump in Iowa on Tuesday. Fans of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) , Trump’s main rival in Iowa and beyond, were understandably dismayed. But the reaction went far beyond that. Some said Palin betrayed her conservative principles by choosing a candidate whose conservatism is shallow at best. And some rehashed the personal attacks that have been a staple of the left. In fact, Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Trump makes sense, and fits both her politics and her personality.

When Gravity Payment's CEO Dan Price announced on April 13 that he would raise the minimum wage of his staff to $70,000 a year, the story went beyond viral: it took the media, especially the part of it which has been obsessing with income and wealth inequality which in the aftermath of Piketty would be most of it, by meteoric storm. Not only that, but the soon to be lionized young chief executive doubled down on this story of "purest of corporate nobility" by announcing he would cut his own compensation of $1.1 million to offset the cost.

Various media attacking Sarah Palin for eight days after one speech suggests she might be making the establishment nervous as her presence looms over a crowded GOP 2016 field. American Thinker goes into the stinker with latest anti Palin diatribe. Questioning "Walker Mania" isn't forming a circular firing squad against him. It's called basic vetting. What Rush isn't telling you about Walker's record. Low info voters on the right are the reason why conservatives can't have nice things. Why I will face palm the "lesser of the two evils" argument for 2016.
