Very awful news out of New York City: Two NYPD cops were shot when a suspect ambushed them as they sat in a patrol car in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon, police sources and witnesses said. A part-time CUNY professor faces a slate of charges accusing him of sparking a violent run-in with police during Saturday's protest demonstration on the Brooklyn Bridge. A 22 year old Israeli Jewish man was stabbed Tuesday morning (roughly 2:00 am EST) in Crown Heights, outside the Chabad-Lubavitch building at 770 Eastern Parkway in New York City. A Brooklyn man, who recently returned from West Africa, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with Ebola-like symptoms Thursday, police sources said. The man, whose name is being withheld by The Post, returned from Mali on Nov. 14, and came down with flu-like symptoms which are similar symptoms to those exhibited by patients suffering from Ebola, the sources said.

Just a week after Dr. Craig Spencer was declared 'Ebola-free', The Daily Mail reports a woman, who had arrived from Guinea 18 days ago (and was on the NYC Ebola monitoring list), dropped dead in a Brooklyn hair salon this afternoon. A surveillance video posted online shows a group of teens trashing a Brooklyn store Saturday night, the store’s owner said. Dozens of teens gathered outside of Gourmet Butcher on Troy Ave. near Carroll St. in Crown Heights before several rushed into the store and knocked over shelves and pushed products to the floor, a video posted on CrownHeights.info on Monday shows. A Brooklyn teenager was rushed to the hospital yesterday after showing symptoms consistent with Ebola. The 14-year-old boy had a fever and was feeling fluish according to officials who spoke to the Daily News. He was brought to Brookdale Hospital where tests are being run to see if he has the disease. He is currently in isolation. The boy was apparently in Sudan for two weeks and hospitalized there as well, but lied to officials about being sick so he could fly home.
