FIRST ON FOX: Hunter Biden’s former business partner, John Robinson "Rob" Walker, appears to have visited the White House at least 16 times when President Biden was vice president. Walker’s name resurfaced a couple of weeks ago when House Oversight Committee Republicans said they obtained records showing members of the Biden family received more than $1 million in payments from accounts related to Walker and their Chinese business ventures in 2017. Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., obtained the records after subpoenaing Bank of America, which revealed that "at least three family members" received lucrative payments from a bank account belonging...

I find this extremely intriguing and if true, which it likely is, then this is unethical at least and certainly illegal. Kari said this person called her and told her that he would come to her house in Arizona because it had to be discussed in person. Kari claimed she was offered a position, title and money by a man from out east, to stay out of politics for the next two years. This would keep her out of contention, for the Arizona Senate seat and as VP Candidate for whom ever wins the nomination. The reason for this thread...

The Securities and Exchange Commission was seeking information from collapsed cryptocurrency exchange FTX earlier this year, the Prospect has confirmed, bringing a new perspective to an effort by a bipartisan group of congressmembers to slow down that investigation. The March letter from eight House members—four Democrats and four Republicans—questioned the SEC’s authority to make informal inquiries to crypto and blockchain companies, and intimated that the requests violated federal law. Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN), whom the Republican caucus just elected as majority whip, the number three position in the House GOP leadership, led the letter. In a contemporaneous Twitter thread, Emmer...

It’s been barely a month since President Joe Biden announced he would be forgiving $10,000 of student loan debt for millions of borrowers and his administration is already walking back certain elements of that plan. The U.S. Department of Education just quietly changed some of its own guidelines for who does and does not qualify for loan forgiveness. Specifically, it reversed its inclusion of older types of loans: Perkins loans and Federal Family Education Loans (FFEL). The plan as announced only applied to federal loans, not private ones. But it would allow Perkins and FFEL loans - which are privately...

His departure adds to ongoing trouble within the FDA's tobacco control division, which is currently under review by agency commissioner Robert Califf. It also follows the division's loss of Mitch Zeller, who retired...

The cash donation accepted by the Prince of Wales for his charity would not happen now, a royal source says. "That was then, this is now," the source said, following reports Prince Charles had accepted around £2.5m ($3m) in cash in a suitcase and carrier bags. "It was passed immediately to his charity and it was his charity who decided to accept the money," said the senior royal source. The cash was from former Qatari prime minister, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim. The Charity Commission earlier this week said it was considering whether it needed to review the donation, with a...

It's the first time since 2005 that the NIH royalty payments receive oversight. Last year, the National Institutes of Health – Anthony Fauci’s employer – doled out $30 billion in government grants to roughly 56,000 recipients. That largess of taxpayer money buys a lot of favor and clout within the scientific, research, and healthcare industries. However, in our breaking investigation, we found hundreds of millions of dollars in payments also flow the other way. These are royalty payments from third-party payers (think pharmaceutical companies) back to the NIH and individual NIH scientists. We estimate that between fiscal years 2010 and...

With a 50-50 split in the United States Senate, there are two things Joe Biden cannot afford: Democrat defections and a filibuster. Senate rules require 60 votes for cloture to move on legislation, and recent years have turned the filibuster into an obstruction tactic by the minority party. Senator Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat from the very red state of West Virginia, has found himself in a very powerful position. His support or opposition to key legislation could make or break Joe Biden’s agenda in Congress. So, it’s hard not to raise an eyebrow at the fact that Joe Biden...

Perhaps someone can sponsor a bill? — Yevgeny (Eugene) Vindman (@YVindman) March 16, 2021 His promotion comes amid controversies of whether the military has become politicized under the Biden administration.
