A recent discovery at a ruined city in north-west China has amazed archaeologists and other experts. Researchers at the Bronze Age archaeological site of Shimao have identified a large step pyramid. This unusual find is bound to add to our knowledge of early China and throw some light on the mysterious culture that thrived for centuries in the city of Shimao. It is also challenging notions as to when and where Chinese civilization began to develop and where it first emerged.

SEVNICA, Slovenia — When Melania Trump was born in 1970, her small industrial hometown on the banks of the Sava River was part of Communist Yugoslavia. Forty-six years later, she is married to the next leader of the free world and the rural Slovenian town of Sevnica is embracing the success of its most famous citizen.

Arson is suspected in a blaze that heavily damaged the birthplace of Bill Clinton early Christmas morning, reports CBS Shreveport, Louisiana affiliate KSLA-TV. The fire at the William J. Clinton Birthplace, in Hope, Arkansas, broke out around 3:20 a.m. Friday. According to Hope Police Chief J.R. Wilson, the fire is under investigation, but arson is suspected. The building, which is designated a National Historic Site, was heavily damaged. The site is operated, staffed and maintained by the National Park Service.
  • GOP debate rules could reignite questions about Cruz birthplace

Not surprisingly, the GOP presidential debates announced last week will be open only to candidates who can legally serve as president. That will make Fox News and CNN the first arbiters of Canada-born Ted Cruz’s eligibility. By putting him on stage, they will implicitly be granting a seal of approval to the only contender born outside the U.S. The U.S. Constitution says a president has to be a natural-born citizen. Fox and CNN both listed Article II, Section 1 among the requirements for would-be debaters. It’s inconceivable that either network would invoke that requirement to shut out the Texas senator....

A federal appeals court Tuesday declared unconstitutional a law allowing Americans born in Jerusalem to list Israel as their birthplace on their U.S. passports, the latest ruling in a case that stretches back a decade. … The case was brought by parents of an American boy named Menachem Zivotofsky, who was born in a Jerusalem hospital soon after the law was passed. The parents wanted to list Israel as his birthplace, but the U.S. has refused to recognize any nation's sovereignty over Jerusalem since Israel’s creation in 1948—so the boy’s U.S. passport only says “Jerusalem” as his birthplace. The Bush...

The revelation that a promotional brochure produced in 1991 by Barack Obama’s literary agency touting his “Kenyan birth” was called “just a marketing gimmick” by Press Secretary Jay Carney. “The president was trying to persuade a publisher to give him a book deal,” Carney explained. “Naturally, he wanted to make the sale, so the fact that he embellished his resume shouldn’t come as a big surprise to anyone. Come on, making yourself look bigger and better than you really are is standard procedure if you hope to survive in our competitive culture. I mean, is there anyone who hasn’t lied...

Barack Hussein Obama will be 51 years, five months, and 16 days old when he completes his Frank Abagnale impersonation on Jan. 20, 2013. That will be the day when he walks out of the White House for the last time, having played the role of president of the United States for four years, and having brought the greatest, freest, most-prosperous nation on Earth to the very brink of disaster. So what will we do with such a man… a man who promised a bedazzled electorate in 2008 that his goal was to totally transform the United States of America,...

The Palestinian Siege on the Church of the Nativity The overwhelming smell of urine was the first thing to hit visitors to Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity after the dramatic and bloody 39-day siege of the compound by the Islamists in 2002. The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem reeked of urine and was strewn with dirty pots and pans, leftover food and mattresses after the Islamist siege in 2002. A Franciscan study hall next to the church which had been gutted by a fire. Pots, pans, blankets, wrappers and filth was strewn around the ancient floor of the historic...

Lawsuits have claimed Barack Obama fails the Constitution's eligibility test for presidents because his father was a Kenyan, because he was born overseas and because his original long-form birth certificate has been withheld. Mad magazine, now, has released its solution: His birthplace is "wherever it was he was born." The magazine, in an article "How Barack Obama stacks up to the other 42 presidents," also takes jabs at Obama's dependence on Teleprompters, his middle name (Hussein), his busted lip and his onetime pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

....... My colleague wept, with relief as he listened to Mrs. Clinton because it became plain that the Obama administration was not hoodwinked by the Nigerian government propaganda. No detail of the country's present demeaning, life-threatening disease is hidden from the US State Department. Little wonder then why Kenyan-born Barack Obama, America's first Black President, converted his major speech at his recent Ghana trip to a scathing upbraiding of Nigeria's irresponsible leadership! Clinton is implementing a tough-love state policy: to whip Nigeria's mulish leadership into line, and let verbal fact and finesse go to hell! The patient needs drastic therapy,...

An ongoing poll by AOL News currently shows that 58% of Americans have doubts about Obama’s citizenship. The poll was started on July 28 and continues — you can go here to vote. And lest you think that this survey is being conducted in a very anti-Obama venue, the title of the article is Birthers, Beer and Stuck on ‘Stupidly’ — it is an environment contemptuous of skeptics. So we can conclude that the results of their poll are not what they were hoping for.A scant five years ago, Barack Obama was a little known Illinois state politician, aspiring to move...
  • DID OBAMA SLIP UP IN SCHOOL SPEECH?

I hate to sound like one of those crazy "birthers", but something Barry Soeto said today in his (mostly commendable) suck-up to tomorrow's voters caught my attention. It's just that the "Kenyan" birth certificate now the subject of legal action, the claim, on U.S. radio by the Kenyan ambassador to the U.S. that Barry was born in Kenya, and now this friendly, off-hand comment a minute or so into his speech, have me wondering..... My mother couldn't afford to send me to the school where all the AMERICAN kids went.

Today the AP issued a story titled “Obama Birthplace Flap Evokes Arthur Debate”. The story makes an analogy between the Obama birth certificate issue and the controversy surrounding Chester Arthur’s birthplace. The story contains a lie. It states that Chester Arthur never publicly addressed the issue of Hinman’s allegations that he was born in Canada. But Arthur did specifically address these issues in the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper. However, AP and MSNBC won’t tell you that because Arthur was caught lying about his parents heritage in those newspaper interviews. He was lying to cover up the fact that Hinman was correct...

Ronald Reagan's birthplace, a second-story apartment over what was once a small-town tavern in Tampico, Ill., is today marked by a museum. John Adams' birthplace is a national park. Even Rutherford B. Hayes, whose birthplace is today covered over by a BP gas station, merits a metal plaque commemorating the location. But while most of America's 44 presidents have tourist attractions or monuments of some kind marking their birthplaces, President Barack Obama – for several reasons – may not be granted the honor. Three obstacles in particular stand in the way: First, though Obama maintains he was born in Honolulu,...

Finally. we have some clarity on where Barack Obama Jr. was born. (This is not birth certificate related) It seems he was born in Honolulu! At two different hospitals. Divine? You be the judge. A United Press International report from Nov. 4 states: “Obama described his birth at Queen's Medical Center in Hawaii Aug. 4, 1961” But on 1/24/09, he wrote to Kap'olani Medical Center; “As a beneficiary of the excellence of Kapi'olani Medical Center -the place of my birth - I am pleased…” At least he is now on record saying he was born in America. I'm feeling better...

More than eight months after Barack Obama was elected president, the mystery surrounding his precise birthplace is deepening as the myth-busting website Snopes.com – along with several news agencies and an Obama community blog – directly contradict the president's own claim regarding the hospital in which he was born. In an official letter signed by Obama on White House stationery, the president celebrates his birth at the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu, Hawaii. The facility has posted that letter on its website, along with video of the letter being read in public. But according to Snopes,...
