The revelation that a promotional brochure produced in 1991 by Barack Obama’s literary agency touting his “Kenyan birth” was called “just a marketing gimmick” by Press Secretary Jay Carney.
“The president was trying to persuade a publisher to give him a book deal,” Carney explained. “Naturally, he wanted to make the sale, so the fact that he embellished his resume shouldn’t come as a big surprise to anyone. Come on, making yourself look bigger and better than you really are is standard procedure if you hope to survive in our competitive culture. I mean, is there anyone who hasn’t lied under similar circumstances?”
To those that might harbor suspicions that the reported Kenyan birth could be true, Carney suggested that “even if it were, I think the point is moot. The president has shown that he is fully capable of handling the job. Any deficiencies he may have had on paper have been more than offset by his on-the-job performance for the last three years. Besides, I think the statute of limitations on the whole ‘natural born citizen’ issue has expired.”

So, the Congressman was right when he blurted out, “You lie” during Obama’s State of the Union address. But it is not important that Obama lied to us, the important thing is that we can never believe him again.
Oh, I almost forgot. There is also a YouTube video in which Michelle Obama stated that Obama’s home country is Kenya. Well, perhaps we can believe Michelle. As far as I know she has never retracted her statement.
OK... here is the $10,000 question... Obama’s “marketing” there was used as a prop to his election, to him being annointed for his path to power.

These actions and comments excusing the actions if they are true are mind boggling. That is probably the strategy of their campaign. Say and do things so outrageous, the public’s eye is taken off the major points of which one is the point on Obama’s head.
If the Republicans win and control congress in the November elections, we had better be screaming to prosecute the actions of this administration and it’s willful disregard of the Constitution at every opportunity. If they don’t pay attention to the laws of the land the only thing left are vigilantism. This country was developed with the assistance of the gun. It probably need a good dose of it again.

So that person who wrote the promotional brochure is being called a liar by Carney. They are lying now (a fact-checking oversight claim) or they lied then. Either way he is calling them a liar. Moreover obama was willing to allow that lie stand for crass commmericial gain....that is to deceive the book-buying public....So Obama sanctions lying and is confirmed by Carney.
So in other words he has no qualms about lying about where he was born to get a job.

It is not Obama’s marketing gimmicks that we should worry about, but the fact that he occupies a position in government that allows him to sell the entire country down the river without any opposition from Congress — at least not from this Congress.

Doug Ross of Director Blue used the wayback feature to investigate Obama’s literary agency’s website and it shows that there were a number of revisions to the literary agent-distributed Obama biography that said he was born in Kenya; these revisions reflected changes in Obama’s life. But it wasn’t until 2007 when he threw his hat in the ring for the presidency that the bio was changed to state he was born in Hawaii.
