Ahead of US Vice President Joe Biden’s trip to the Holy Land next week, the American administration is “hysterical” about the possibility of Israeli authorities embarrassing him by announcing the construction of new housing during his visit, the Hebrew news site nrg reported on Monday. According to the exclusive report, the level of anxiety in Washington is so high on this score that senior administration officials are sidestepping proper diplomatic channels and directly appealing to Israeli public figures to prevent an incident similar to that which occurred during Biden’s visit six years ago. In 2010, the Jerusalem municipality approved the...

Wading in to the contentious presidential race that he once considered joining, Vice President Joe Biden told California Democrats at the party's convention here that the Republican candidates haven't changed their positions, only their tone. "They haven't changed at all, folks," said Biden. "They've just gotten meaner." Biden defended the Obama administration's efforts on healthcare and the call for tuition-free community college. Clenching his fists and raising his voice almost into a shout, the vice president pleaded for a higher minimum wage and more child care benefits for single-parent families. "No one should work 40 hours a week and still...

Conservative and center-right columnists often have to do far more digging than their liberal counterparts, simply because overwhelmingly left-leaning beat journalists, aka "Democrats with bylines," provide such unbalanced reporting on current events on a daily basis. Fortunately, the Washington Post's Marc Thiessen did the entirely necessary work of rummaging through available information about federal court nominations in 1988 and 1992. Any beat reporter could have done the same thing, but either didn't, or decided not to report what was found. What Thiessen unearthed makes an argument-ending mockery of Vice President Joe Biden's claim, made in a Monday evening tweet, that when he...

I’ll give you the quote but you should really listen to the clip, as it’s short and oh so sweet. How often does this guy get caught by reporters with nothing coherent to say in his or his party’s defense? I thought he’d at least try arguing that Biden said what he said in June 1992 whereas Scalia’s vacancy opened up in February of this year and that makes all the difference somehow even though it actually makes no difference at all, but he doesn’t even fart out that excuse. All he can say to the fact that Obama, Biden,...

When you are as voluble as Joseph R. Biden Jr. is, you are bound to say more than a few words that come back to haunt you. And some choice ones returned with a vengeance on Monday as the fight over the open Supreme Court seat began in the Senate. As Democrats prepared to lay into Republicans for vowing to stall any nominee to replace Justice Antonin Scalia, Republicans instead pounded them with remarks that Mr. Biden made as a senator in June 1992. In a Senate floor speech resurfaced by C-Span, he said he would do almost exactly what...

Vice President Joe Biden argued that the president should not name a Supreme Court nominee to fill any vacancy during an election year until after the election is completed and that if the president did name a pick during an election year, the Judiciary Committee should "seriously consider" not having hearings until after the campaign is over and that this was "fair to the nominee and essential to the process" in a speech on the Senate floor on June 25, 1992 that was flagged by C-SPAN user jeremyart and tweeted by C-SPAN. Biden said, "[I]t is my view that if...

Sock it to me? Hillary Clinton may be saying publicly that she's "100% confident the FBI email probe will fizzle," but with every new leak that comes out, the public can see that the case for her indictment has been strengthened. In the latest exclusive from Fox News, Catherine Herridge and Pamela K. Browne report that the "top secret" intelligence, recently found on Clinton's server and deemed too damaging to national security to release, passed through at least a dozen of her underlings' email accounts.A U.S. government official close to the FBI investigation told Fox that "the accounts include not only...

Interesting tidings in the media the last 24 hours that suggest a smoldering volcano of Democratic discontent and near panic. The Democratic establishment has cleared the field for Hillary, and she's having trouble putting away Bernie Sanders! If she can’t handle Bernie Sanders, how will she match up with a Republican nominee? Colbert King, a reliable liberal columnist at the Washington Post, sends out the message: Clinton email scandal: Why it might be time for Democrats to draft Joe Biden The Hillary Clinton email issue is developing into a real whodunit, complete with Clintonesque legal semantics. "I never sent or...

President Barack Obama will ask Congress for $755 million for cancer research in his upcoming budget, the White House said Monday, bringing the total price tag for Vice President Joe Biden's cancer "moonshot" to $1 billion. Research into immunotherapy, combination therapy and early detection techniques will be at the center of new programs the administration hopes to create at the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration. Vaccines to prevent viruses that cause cancer are another focus, officials said, laying out for the first time how Biden will seek to fulfill his goal of doubling the rate...

Traveling the world with Vice President Joe Biden is an 'adventure,' said one Hillary Clinton associate in emails released today from the State Department. 'It's like a Disney ride with dips and spins and surprises around every bend,' the email, addressed to 'H' read. The note came to Clinton from diplomat Kurt M. Campbell who accompanied the veep to Beijing in 2011. Clinton, serving as secretary of state, replied that she couldn't wait to hear stories – and asked if it was anything like 'W and beach volleyball?' Former President George W. Bush had made his own trek to China...

Vice President Joe Biden told fellow Democrats on Thursday that they should see it as “a gift from the Lord†if Republicans nominate Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas or billionaire businessman Donald Trump for president in 2016. “We may be given a gift from the Lord in the presidential race here,†Biden told lawmakers attending the annual House of Representatives Democratic conference, held this year in Baltimore. “I don’t know who to root for more: Cruz? Or what’s that guy’s name, he’s having a fundraiser for veterans tonight, I’m told,†said the vice president. Trump has announced he will snub...

President Obama signed a presidential memorandum on Thursday creating a White House task force on cancer, the first step in what Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. has called a "moonshot" to cure the disease, administration officials said. The president appointed Mr. Biden to lead the panel, which will include representatives from at least 13 government agencies. The group's first meeting will be on Monday, officials said. The emotional power behind the push will come from Mr. Biden, whose son Beau died last year after a battle with brain cancer. This month in his final State of the Union address, Mr....

The FBI is ready to indict Hillary Clinton and if its recommendation isn't followed by the U.S. attorney general, the agency's investigators plan to blow the whistle and go public with their findings, former U.S. House Majority leader Tom DeLay tells Newsmax TV. "I have friends that are in the FBI and they tell me they're ready to indict," DeLay said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show." "They're ready to recommend an indictment and they also say that if the attorney general does not indict, they're going public."

Perhaps the shrewdest move Joe Biden made was taking a pass last autumn at a presidential run. Then, he might have been considered a spoiler. Not so Elizabeth Warren, whom the left wanted badly to run early last year. Warren, up against Hillary's money and establishment muscle, took a pass. No profile in courage for her. But Warren might get a second chance at the brass ring. Biden, most definitely. Hillary the Inevitable is doing what Hillary does: melt down as inspection of her heats up. Criminality -- no stranger to the Clintons -- holds out the promise of being...
