CONWAY, S.C. – Police say a South Carolina man charged with sexual assault of his nephew's girlfriend was beaten by the relative, who won't be charged in the incident. LAKEWOOD - Police in Lakewood say several people attacked and severely beat a driver whose SUV hit and killed a woman Monday night. Investigators say 41-year-old Chandra Martin was crossing Route 88 when she was hit and killed. Martin's brother witnessed the crash, which happened near her home. Several other people who witnessed the crash allegedly attacked the SUV driver. The 26-year-old Lakewood man was flown to a trauma center. Police have not made any arrests at this time.

Homicide detectives were investigating Sunday the death of a 65-year-old man who was beaten by two unidentified women at a Willowbrook Metro train station. L.A. resident John Whitmore was waiting for a train at the Metro-Blue Line near Imperial Highway and South Wilmington Avenue (map) on Friday, June 13 when two black women kicked Whitmore and hit him with their hands until he collapsed, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department news release.

Police say they arrested 16-year-old Kenan Adams-Kinard just after 3 a.m. on Monday morning in connection with the murder of Delbert Belton.
