Mike Krzyzewski has been around long enough to experience his fair share of gut-wrenching defeats. So after his Duke Blue Devils dealt one out on Sunday, beating ninth-seeded UCF by a matter of inches, Coach K got emotional himself. In the postgame handshake line, he stopped to console one of the fallen Knights:

The NCAA has found major recruiting violations at Georgia Tech. The school is expected to announce the news Friday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The allegations name two men — former assistant basketball coach Darryl LaBarrie and Ron Bell. The NCAA believes both men are responsible for Level 1 violations, the highest possible. Current head coach Josh Pastner has not been charged with any violations, his attorney told the Journal-Constitution.

He's 51 years old and 6 feet, 6 inches tall. At a college, somewhere. Weirdest photo you've ever seen..? Being delusional, our system is less and less able to deal with delusional people. It's angering but I believe these delusional men are actually HELPING our side, angering people with sports awards, herding would-be accomodating normies into our camp. It is difficult for me to believe that we're only 2 or so years into the Tranny war on civilization, seems like it has already been decades.

It was the fall of 1981 and Magic Johnson was not happy. The Los Angeles Lakers had just won five in a row, but Johnson was feeling constrained by the new offense head coach Paul Westhead had installed. Westhead met with his star point guard over what he called a "lack of concentration," according to a Sports Illustrated report. It didn't go well. Because in the locker room after that meeting, Johnson told the media he couldn't play under Westhead's system anymore and wanted to be traded. John Rockwell, a close friend of Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss, was dispatched...

Nike says it’s investigating why Duke freshman Zion Williamson split a shoe open during a game against rival North Carolina. But the sportswear giant says it’s an “isolated occurrence.” The Beaverton, Oregon-based company says it’s concerned and says quality and performance of its products are of “utmost importance.” The shoe malfunction, which forced Williamson to leave the game with a knee sprain, happened in front of a crowd of celebrities, including former President Barack Obama and Spike Lee.

With two of the premiere college basketball teams right down the road from each other, Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski says the rivalry has been a privilege to be a part of. "The programs have produced championships and excellence and pros," said Krzyzewski. "So to be a part of that as a player or a coach, you should be honored." North Carolina leads the all-time series against Duke, but the Blue Devils hold the 54-48 edge when playing at home. And when the game's at Cameron, the stars come out. The latest rumor is that Former President Barack Obama will...

This is not normal. Seriously. Take a basketball, inflate it to 8 PSI and see if you can press it in at all. If you use all your force with both palms you might be able to depress the ball a little, but nothing like this. Consider the situation: Zion is trying to rip the ball from an opponent. He’s not pressing against a solid object with no give. This is a human. Also the angle plays a part here too, and proves that this is all grip strength.

Lynn Swann continues to get on the bad side of USC fans, and his latest act will only fray the relationship further. Swann, the Trojans’ athletic director, has blocked the famous USC Song Girls from performing at USC home basketball games for the rest of the season. The Los Angeles Times reported the news on Friday, saying Swann put the order into effect in late November. Instead of the Song Girls, a dance group called the Trojan Dance Force performs at basketball games.

UPDATEJust when we thought politicians in California couldn't get any more horrible, Gov.-elect Gavin Newsom proved us wrong. Apparently the reason he was absent from Cpl. Singh's funeral yesterday was because he was too busy watching the Sacramento Kings play basketball. So fun to join the @warriors and @SacramentoKings last night with the family -- what a game!! pic.twitter.com/zmwaVKcT19— Gavin Newsom (@GavinNewsom) January 6, 2019 If this doesn't tell you where his priorities lay, nothing will.ORIGINAL POSTCpl. James made the comments on Friday night’s episode of HBO’s “The Shop” which is co-executive produced by the Los Angeles Lakers superstar. ..." James said the NFL was attempting to exert control over its players. "In the NFL they got a bunch of old white men owning teams and they got that slave mentality," James said. "And it's like, 'This is my team. You do what the f--- I tell y'all to do. Or we get rid of y'all.’”

LeBron James had nothing but scathing critiques for the National Football League during an episode of his show “The Shop” on HBO, in which the Los Angeles Lakers superstar contrasted the NFL and NBA’s treatment of their respective players. In his latest comment addressing what’s going on beyond the basketball court, James compared the NFL’s owners attitude toward their players to slave ownership while praising NBA commissioner Adam Silver’s handling of social issues in his league.

Of all the things that Lauren Herington remembers about her year as an NBA dancer, it’s the broom closet that rattles her most. “My coach would make me sit in there before games and think about if I was doing everything to be able to lose weight,” Lauren, a dancer for the Milwaukee Bucks from 2013 to 2014, recalls for Yahoo Lifestyle. “You know, basically like a child in time-out.” When her coach thought she looked “questionable” weight-wise, Lauren says, she’d instruct the dancer to put on her spandex uniform in order to perform a “jiggle test” in front of...

The strange saga of Philadelphia 76ers guard—and former number one overall pick—Markelle Fultz has taken a potentially litigious turn. The Athletic D.C.’s editor-in-chief, David Aldridge, reports that “at the direction of his attorney,” Fultz will no longer participate in team practices or games until after a shoulder specialist has evaluated and cleared Fultz early next week. Aldridge’s reference to Fultz’s “attorney” is revealing because the attorney, Raymond Brothers, doubles as Fultz’s agent. Aldridge’s depiction of Brothers as Fultz’s “attorney” instead of as his “agent” is intentional. It signals that Brothers and Fultz regard the situation as one that could potentially...
