Women choose bad boys because their hormones make them, new research suggests. When ovulating a woman's hormones influence who she sees as good potential fathers, and they specifically pick sexier men over obviously more dependable men. "Previous research has shown in the week near ovulation women become attracted to sexy, rebellious and handsome men like George Clooney or James Bond," study researcher Kristina Durante, of The University of Texas at San Antonio, said in a statement. "But until now it was unclear why women would ever think it's wise to pursue long-term relationships with these kinds of men." The study...

The tenth anniversary of 9/11 is upon us. Rather than ruminating on pious platitudes or reporting the trite remarks of gaseous politicians, I thought it might be appropriate to update some prior columns that attempt to shed light on the subject. This is this second. Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Whatcha Gonna Do When They Come for You? David C. Stolinsky Sept. 3, 2011 Let me begin by expressing profound gratitude for the courage and professionalism of our first responders on 9/11, our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, our CIA personnel who worked tirelessly to reveal the terrorist network,...

Hi everyone! I just started blogging here and I thought I'd share my thoughts on the economy. But first about myself, Im 17 years old and live in Pawtucket Rode Island. I make a living as a profesional printer after I quit school and invented a revolutionary way to make money without working. I print it! YES! I can't believe no one ever thought of it before! I thought it up a year ago after I got fired from Wendys. I needed a quick way to make money so I printed it out on my computer using a scanner. I...

<p>Masamune Date is not an obvious heart-throb for today’s young Japanese women. He has an aristocratic lineage and love of the arts — but he is also a one-eyed ruthless killer. He lost an eye to smallpox and in his relentless pursuit of power is said to have slaughtered his own brother, as well as Christian missionaries, Korean peasants and countless of his compatriots.</p>

Recently, there were a number of media stories about how the U.S. Army has been recruiting more men with criminal records. When pressed about this, the army released a report showing that recruits let in via "moral waivers" made better combat soldiers. That is, they got promoted faster, re-enlisted at a higher rate, got more awards for valor and were noted for superior combat performance. They were also better educated, and more likely to talk back. A slightly higher percentage of them got punished for that. All this is nothing new. It was noted as far back as World War...

RUSH: Now, as you people know, I have been prescient on many things. That's what being on the cutting edge of societal evolution is, prescience. I have been sounding warning bells on a series of things for the 18 plus years that I've been behind the Golden EIB Microphone. One of those is feminism, what its ultimate aims were, how much success it's had, and how it's now started to crumble in certain ways; but there are legacies that remain that have caused damage that still survive. One of the things I always said about feminism was that the biggest...

Well, it looks as though Dick Elliott and his cohorts are breaking the law and destroying other peoples property. Not nice Dick! When you are operating a political campaign on a shoe-string budget, those signs represent a large part of your budget and also the volunteers and your families time. Like Katherines son and daughter. Since the Democrats are trying to keep Katherines name and face out of the public eye by doing away with the signs, why don't we put it back in the public eye vocally and written? Even though she is endorsed by the Knight-Ritter newspaper in...

Filed at 8:26 p.m. ET LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - No-nonsense Sgt. Joe Friday of ``Dragnet'' and the clean-cut cops of ``Adam-12'' never had to do anything like this. But the City of Angels has made it clear that its real-life police department is here not only to serve and protect, but also to collect licensing fees. The city of Los Angeles has threatened legal action against the makers of two new TV police dramas if they use likenesses of the city's trademarked police department badges, logos, or even the LAPD's good name, without city permission. The municipal government is insisting...
