INDIANAPOLIS - A woman accused of throwing her newborn baby in a trash can at a west-side Indianapolis factory was formally charged Wednesday for the incident, which was reported last Friday. Police said Briana Holland, 22, gave birth to a baby boy in the restroom of the United Technology Carrier Corporation building in the 7300 block of West Morris Street. NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – A 20-year-old woman has been charged with abandoning a baby on a Manhattan subway platform, police said. Frankea Dabbs, who is homeless, was arrested Tuesday. She faces charges of abandoning a child and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, NYPD said. Dabbs is accused of wheeling a baby girl, strapped in a stroller, onto the platform of the 59th Street and Columbus Avenue station midday Monday, then leaving the child alone among a sea of jostling commuters.
