Eight bodies, including those of three journalists, were found after an attack on a team trying to educate locals on the risks of the Ebola virus in a remote area of southeastern Guinea, a government spokesman said on Thursday.

Three jihadis were killed in the attack, four were captured and another three arrested the following day on information from interrogations. Two Pakistan Navy guards were wounded in the fighting.

Two boys, ages 13 and 14, were taken into custody on Saturday. The arrests came after their parents went to police complaining about harassing phone calls the teens were getting. Instead, investigators turned the tables and two the pair into custody. They were released to the custody of their parents on $2,500 bond. Police say more arrests are expected.

Armed men attacked an Ebola isolation ward in the Liberian capital Monrovia overnight, prompting 29 patients to flee the facility, witnesses said Sunday. A handicapped man was beaten and robbed on the street. The incident was recorded, then sent around on Facebook like some entertainment or trophy. First a fight, which was more of an attack. Police say a young guy was robbed, then beaten. The fight was not one-on-one and was uneven in another way; a source close to the case says the victim was a young adult with a developmental disability.

Dennis Williams, above, did not hesitate to intervene to save a man being attacked by three pit bulls.  The event was reported on July 21, 2014, in Washington County, Wisconsin.
