Video at link begins with video of the pit bull being loving towards it's owners as the newscaster relates that the owners say this dog is the friendliest dog you are likely to meet. This footage appears to have been taken some time after the attack. The next footage shows a private dashcam view of an earlier incident when the pit bull (he "got out") was attacking a leashed german shepherd. The pit bull's owner tries to stop the attack and the pit bull pounces on him, high in the torso, knocking him down hard on the pavement. The german shepherd survived but ran away and hasn't been found.

I think that’s the first time I’ve seen “private” dashcam footage. Wonder how many people have dashcams.
wrong link
Please kill it
It leads to gruesome photos of unrelated incidents.
Go to Youtube and look up “Russian Dashcam”.
Thousands of videos.
Russia is pseudo lawless, so people have their own dash cams to document things.
This is the correct link:

umm.. it’s in Kalifornia.
“I think thats the first time Ive seen private dashcam footage. Wonder how many people have dashcams.”
I have seen hundreds on youtube. Look for accidents, failures, etc.
The most famous is the one of the MC crowd attacking the SUV driver in NYC. Not actually a dashcam as it was on the helmet.
You want an unforgettable experience? Put “Pit Bull Attack” into any “image” search engine.
You will especially weep for the children.
Hello Chet, wherever you are. You were right.
Don’t click on that link. It will give you nightmares.
Horrific.
I am inclined to agree. I think they are wild animals, and should be euthanized. There are a million videos of adorable lions, tigers, bears, chimps, gorillas, etc., snuggling and hugging people. So what? They are wild animals, not pets.
IIRC, Pit Bulls were bred to fight bears in pits, hence the name.
I recently talked with a lady who had been an animal control officer and had run no kill shelters. We discussed the pit bull and she told that a specialized breeding program was done in Cuba during the Batista time. The pits were crossed with another breed whose name I can not remember and the result was a pit that would track down and kill escaped prisoners. She said it was cheaper than a bullet. She told me that if you track the lineage of any pit involved in a human attack you will find that Cuban strain somewhere.
I helped train dogs years ago and have had limited contact with pits but the ones I met well mannered and never a problem. I read somewhere that in England they were known as the Nanny Dog, owners would tie them to the baby stroller and leave for a walk thru the park knowing their child was safe.
When you say ban all lower-case 'pit bulls,' as used by the media, dangerous dog regulations, and dog bite statistics, you're including the Staffordshire Terrier (maxing out at 35 pounds), the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Bull Terrier, the Toy Bull Terrier, the Bull Mastiff, and several other breeds that I don't believe are the problem (well, some American Staffordshire Terriers may be involved).
I'd attribute the overwhelming majority of pitbull dog bite deaths to American Pit Bull Terriers and American Bullies, and mixes of other breeds with either of those two breeds.
I think the Rottweiler is more dangerous than any of the other breeds (over 10% of fatalities annually), based on deaths by breed, as are sled dogs, Akitas, and even (sadly) German Shepherds (about 4% of dog bite deaths annually).
There's no way that Bull Terriers are responsible for 4% of dog bite deaths annually, yet it's a lower case pitbull.
Oh God! I wish that I had never linked to that page. It’s worse than what ISIS could do.
I hate them darn dogs with a passion, killed several of our sheep until our Great Pyrenees got hold of them and terminated them before I could shoot them.
Regardless of what breed dog you have or what breed dog you run into, if you are out walking alone, or with your dog, arm yourself.
Pepper spray, knife, baton and/ or gun.
You do not want to be attacked by a dog, they are extremely dangerous when attacking. One bite can kill.
Not to fight bulls in pits. The American Pit Bull Terrier is descended from the Pit Bull Terrier (one of many breeds resulting from crossing terriers with bulldogs), which was bred for bear baiting (no pit involved), bull baiting, and dog fighting (multiple dogs in a pit; last one standing wins).
people should never have a dog that they would not be able to control if that dog were to go berserk.
