The owner of the EAV Barbell Club has posted a sign that said no cops are allowed in his gym. A photo of the sign was sent to 11 Alive by a military veteran, who was not identified, and who said he was offended when he saw the sign. The gym is located on Flat Shoals Avenue in Atlanta’s east Atlanta Village neighborhood.

A federal judge has dismissed a class-action racial discrimination lawsuit filed by current and former black employees of Time Warner, owner of Turner networks including CNN, TNT and TBS. U.S. District Court Judge William Duffey of the Northern District of Georgia said in Tuesday’s order that the employees didn’t meet legal standards to prove “a pattern and practice of intentional race discrimination.” The lawsuit filed in December claimed a pattern of discrimination against black employees, particularly men, in evaluations, pay and promotions. …

One of the hits at the NRA Annual Meeting in Atlanta was the Pyramid Air gun range. Michale Bloomberg's purchased gun control groups Mom's Demand Action and Everytown promised to "confront" the National Rifle Association in Atlanta (GA) during the NRA's Annual Meetings and Exhibits. This year, 2017, the NRA Annual Meeting is being held in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center. 80,000 people are expected to attend.  There will be 450,000 square feet of exhibits. As with the past two annual meetings, attendees will be able to carry firearms in accordance with state laws. Gov. Nathan Deal declared a state of emergency Thursday night after fire officials extinguished a massive fire on I-85 in Atlanta that led to the collapse of a bridge on the crowded interstate.
