Police say 21-year-old Royshon Ferguson and 22-year-old Gregory McLaurin were arrested after an armed robbery was reported at the Smashburger, at 1590 Boston Post Road. A woman carrying a firearm shot a man who assaulted a police officer in Dawson County, Georgia, on Tuesday. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, 52-year-old Sgt. Randy Harkness gave a homeless man a ride to a local Chevron and planned to give him a little bit of money. The Lenexa, Kansas police department confirmed to KCTV5 today that they are investigating a shooting at a local Costco involving an off-duty police officer and an armed man. On Sunday afternoon, police received emergency calls that a man was threatening the store, pointing a gun at customers. Stephen Willeford’s heroic actions last Sunday saved many lives at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. The killer, Devin Kelley, was shooting the wounded when Willeford showed up with a rifle. Willeford’s quick actions forced Kelley to stop his attack, presumably saving the lives of the twenty wounded and possibly many more. The press derided President Trump for saying that Willeford saved many lives with his gun, and that stricter gun control regulations would have only made things worse.

The armed civilian who used his assault rifle to stop Sunday’s mass murder of 26 Texas churchgoers has been hailed, rightly, as a hero, but Stephen Willeford is hardly unique. A number of armed American citizens have also used their firearms to stop or limit mass killings.

Police have said two masked robbers entered the restaurant early Wednesday and ordered three employees to lie on the floor.
