Police say Antione Garret, 34, and his girlfriend awoke to the sound of someone breaking into their home on Leybourn Avenue. Investigators say the owner, who was shot during the incident, was taken to Forrest General Hospital for surgery and is expected to recover. LeRobert Young of Bassfield, born in 1978, was pronounced dead at the scene.
