A drunken argument over whether Android or Apple smartphones were superior turned violent early today when two Oklahoma roommates began assaulting each other during the bloody telecommunications debate. According to Tulsa police, Jiaro Mendez and Elias Acevedo were outside their apartment around 1 AM when their phone quarrel moved to the stabbing stage. Nearly 1 million people in the U.S. bought an Apple Watch on the first day of preorders, according to data company Slice Intelligence. Slice found that that 957,000 Americans preordered the smartwatch on Friday's launch. Those customers won't be getting the actual smartwatch until April 24 at the earliest when Apple starts shipping them. Older versions left vulnerable. Apple has fixed a major security hole that has been present in its OS X operating system since at least 2011. The 10.10.3 update addresses the so-called "rootpipe" vulnerability, which allowed an attacker to gain the highest level of access to the computer without a password.
