TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Judge Allen Winsor of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida granted a motion to dismiss a case against Florida’s voter registration process on Monday. Several voter rights advocacy groups filed the case against Florida and the 67 county supervisor of election offices. The voter rights advocacy groups, including the NAACP and Vote.org, filed the case in order to challenge Florida’s voter registration signature authentication requirement. The groups sought for Florida’s law to comply with a federal law that prevents any states from using “immaterial errors or omissions to deny the right to vote.”...

ORLANDO, Fla. – Joseph Harding, the former Florida representative who resigned in December after he was indicted on federal fraud charges, has taken a plea deal from the U.S. Justice Department. On Tuesday, Harding, who represented part of Marion County in the Florida House of Representatives, entered guilty pleas to one count of wire fraud, one count of money laundering and one count of making false statements. A judge on Friday rejected ex-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell’s challenge of the Pentagon’s vaccine mandate. Powell’s Texas-based group, dubbed Defending the Republic, filed a lawsuit in October on behalf of 16 active-duty service members “in support of their right to refuse” the COVID-19 vaccine. The lawsuit named Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra, acting Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Janet Woodcock, Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall, Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro and Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth as defendants. The plaintiffs argued that the vaccine mandate imposed “unconstitutional...

Jack Denton will get back his salary as student senate president for the remaining few weeks of his term. What he won’t get back is his job as student senate president. A federal court refused to reinstate the Florida State University student to the position he was removed from because of his Catholic beliefs, saying it “could produce tumult and chaos.” U.S. District Judge Allen Winsor essentially ratified the heckler’s veto issued by the student government when it removed Denton (above) and refused to let him appeal his removal. “Some might say this only rewards the senate for its discriminatory...

Court orders university to pay salary for lost positionALLAHASSEE, Fla. (ChurchMilitant.com) - A persecuted Catholic student has been largely vindicated in court. On Friday, a federal district court ordered Florida State University (FSU) to pay Jack Denton the salary he would have received as student senate president. Denton was president of the Student Government Association Senate at FSU. But he was voted out of office in June, as leftist students were outraged over private comments he made in support of Church teaching on abortion and transgenderism. This order comes in the form of a partial preliminary injunction nearly 40 days...
