While the climate strike and Greta Thunberg may have the limelight this week, the unwavering truth of climate and energy policy remains: people are unwilling to pay the costs associated with reducing carbon dioxide emissions. A recent poll from the Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation shows that support for reducing carbon dioxide emissions withers under the slightest bit of scrutiny. The poll shows people favor taxing the wealthy to pay for increasing electricity costs, which is pretty much par for the course on every issue, and raising taxes on energy, even if that leads to higher prices. ... when people are...

George Soros financed radical environmental groups partnering in this week’s “Global Climate Strike” to the tune of nearly $25 million, according to a new report. At least 22 of the left-wing activist groups listed as partners in the Global Climate Strike received $24,854,592 in funding from liberal billionaire George Soros between 2000-2017 through his Open Society Network. Though ostensibly ignited by the protests of 16-year-old Greta Thunberg, the Global Climate Strike has borne from the outset the indelible fingerprints of well-funded, radical environmental activists. As it turns out, much of the funding has been coming from George Soros. Among the...

Former Secretary of State John Kerry has declared “World War Zero” on those who oppose liberals’ climate change agenda. “We're going to create a movement here in America, I believe, that will - and across the world, actually - a global movement called WORLD WAR ZERO,” the former Obama Administration State Department head said in an interview announcing his net-zero-carbon-economy-by-2050 initiative on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday: “And you can go to WorldWarZero.com now, and there's an introductory page. In October, we'll be filling out the full web site, but we will be announcing this in full with big...

French President Emmanuel Macron, one of the world’s most ardent supporters of the Paris climate agreement, has come out against a complaint lodged by Swedish climate alarmist Greta Thunberg with the United Nations that accuses France and four other countries of inaction against so-called global warming.

I have to warn you: This is gross.By that I mean, it's disgusting what the climate panic brigade is doing to this clearly disturbed young lady.Speaking at the U.N. climate change conference earlier today, the 16-year-old Greta Thunberg lectured those present on their failure to act or whatever. Here's the video: CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE VIDEO And here's a partial transcript: My message is: We'll be watching you [pause for laughs and applause]. This is all wrong. I shouldn't be up here. I should be back in school, on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come...

The left has gone ballistic over criticism that teen climate-change activist Greta Thunberg resembles some of the Nazi propaganda that was used to turn the world against Jews more than half a century ago. The Swedish 16-year-old, who is skipping school for a year to to protest climate change, charged in a speech at the United Nations on Monday that the adults in the room were stealing her dreams and her childhood. "People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing," she claimed. "We are in the beginning of a mass extinction." Author and filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza noted her...

Two days after the German government announced a €54 billion ($61 billion) package of measures to tackle climate change, Chancellor Angela Merkel and Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer are to fly to the United States in two separate planes, the Bild am Sonntag newspaper reported on Sunday. Two Luftwaffe aircraft will transport the two politicians almost simultaneously to the east coast of the US, the paper said. Merkel is due in New York at the United Nations climate summit on Monday, where she is expected to confirm that Germany is committed to phasing out coal and will help to save the...

Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg, 16, is testifying before Congress next week at the invitation of House Democrats. Thunberg will appear Sept. 18 before a joint hearing of a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee and the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. She is among a group of young climate activists Democrats invited to testify at the hearing, entitled "Voices Leading the Next Generation on the Global Climate Crisis." Thunberg is best known for founding an international movement called Fridays for Future, in which students skip school on Fridays to participate in demonstrations demanding action to combat climate change. Last...

wind turbines only last for twenty years, and after that time the turbines must be torn down .. wind turbine blades cannot be recycled ... more than 100 wind turbine blades measuring 120 ft long have been dumped in a Sioux Falls, South Dakota, landfill, but there’s a problem: the massive blades are taking up too much room ... A wind farm near Albert Lea, Minn., brought dozens of their old turbine blades to the Sioux Falls dump this summer. But City Hall says it won’t take anymore unless owners take more steps to make the massive fiberglass pieces less...

Just as the state forces Battery cars onto Colorado consumers, emerging evidence consistently show the so-called “zero-emission vehicles” pollute more than internal combustion vehicles. The latest evidence comes in a report by the German-based IFO Institute for Economic Research, released about the same time Colorado air commissioners voted 8-1 to adopt California’s “Zero Emission Vehicle” (ZEV) standards. The new rule requires at least 5% of any automotive company’s vehicles for sale in Colorado run on electricity. ... We all want clean air. Hickenlooper and Polis probably believe battery cars advance the goal. No credible evidence suggests they do any such...

Radio, IR and optical observations show evolution of plumes and their impact on belts and zones Storm clouds rooted deep in Jupiter's atmosphere are affecting the planet's white zones and colorful belts, creating disturbances in their flow and even changing their color. Thanks to coordinated observations of the planet in January 2017 by six ground-based optical and radio telescopes and NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, a University of California, Berkeley, astronomer and her colleagues have been able to track the effects of these storms -- visible as bright plumes above the planet's ammonia ice clouds -- on the belts in which...

If the official definitions of renewable energy were logical, renewable energy would be defined as energy that does not emit CO2 and that is not using a resource in danger of running out anytime soon. But the definitions written into the laws of many states are not logical. Hydroelectric energy is mostly banned because the environmental movement hates dams. Nuclear is banned ... Both nuclear and hydro don't emit CO2. Hydro doesn't need fuel. Nuclear fuel is cheap and plentiful. A large number of prominent global warming activists, such as James Hansen, Michael Shellenberger, and Stewart Brand have declared that...

WASHINGTON - Democrats running for president on promises to slow climate change are asking young people to do more than just vote for them. Many White House hopefuls are laying out plans to put teenagers and 20-somethings to work guarding the country against the worst effects of global warming. Core to a number of Democrats' climate plans is the creation of a "climate corps." Akin to the Peace Corps launched in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy as a soft-power check against Russia, a climate-focused national service program would tackle what many presidential candidates see as this generation's greatest challenge...

The new president of The Heartland Institute, Frank Lasee, was not exaggerating when he described the 13th International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC13) as “the most important climate change and energy event of the year.” Speaking about the July 25 conference held at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., Lasee explained, “ICCC13 demonstrated that the Climate Delusion is not based on sound science or economics. It is wasting trillions of dollars and threatening our way of life, while propping up the drive for world socialism.” This was a common theme throughout ICCC13. The Climate Delusion, relying on bad science...

A-listers flock to Google summit in private jets, mega yachts to talk climate change The world’s rich and famous have flocked to a posh Italian resort to talk about saving Mother Earth — but they sure are punishing her in the process. The billionaire creators of Google have invited a who’s who of A-list names— including former President Barack Obama, Prince Harry, Leonardo DiCaprio and Katy Perry — to the Sicilian seaside for a mega-party they’ve dubbed Google Camp. The three-day event will focus on fighting climate change — though it’s unknown how much time the attendees will spend discussing...

The FBI conducted a search of the downtown headquarters of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and City Hall, officials said Monday. “There is a search taking place at the DWP building. The affidavit in support of the search warrant is under seal by the court,” said Rukelt Dalberis, an FBI spokesman in Los Angeles. Law enforcement sources said the FBI was also at Los Angeles City Hall.

Vast stretches of Earth’s northern latitudes are on fire right now. Hot weather has engulfed a huge portion of the Arctic, from Alaska to Greenland to Siberia. That’s helped create conditions ripe for wildfires, including some truly massive ones burning in remote parts of the region that are being seen by satellites. All told, northern fires released as much carbon dioxide in June as the entire country of Sweden does in a year, according to data crunched by the European Union’s Copernicus program. The agency said the wildfire activity is “unprecedented” amidst what was, incidentally, the hottest June ever recorded...

‘We had expected more melting’: Thick Arctic ice forces Norwegian climate research icebreaker to turn back ... Global warming research ship forced to retreat due to 'massive' Arctic sea ice! "The ship will monitor the environmental and climate conditions in marine areas in the Arctic and Antarctic," according to its website. The ship is designed to "perform a range of research missions, including climate change." The research vessel and icebreaker "Crown Prince Haakon" turned almost 85 degrees north. They went northeast of Svalbard on their way to the North Pole, but met thicker and more massive sea ice than expected."...Thick...
