During the August recess, the Congressman had scheduled a number of “town hall” meetings at various locations in his district. One of those meetings was held in Loveland, Colorado on Saturday, August 9th. About 60 people showed up for this event. It was a mixed crowd of mostly older men and women, with an odd sprinkle of 20-somethings seated in the first row. An intense looking woman in her 70s brought in a placard exclaiming “End US Aggression Now”. An equally intense looking man in his 50s, wearing motorcycle leathers, and a spectacular moustache, was sporting a black T-shirt that...

Even if lightning strikes Friday and Congress OK's an immigration bill, activists angered with unaccompanied minors swarming over the U.S.-Mexico border plan to invade town hall meetings House members are planning during the five-week congressional recess. The immigration reduction group NumbersUSA is one of those already drawing up protest plans. They distributed details to their two million members on the lawmakers already planning to host public meetings in their district. According to the group, 99 Republicans have scheduled town halls. Just 41 Democrats have done the same. No immigration bill is expected to pass both houses and be signed by...

A small group of local citizens met with U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger's staff Monday to voice concerns over the government's disregard for the nation's immigration laws. The group, who call themselves Taxpayers of Congressional District 16, met with Kinzinger's representatives in the Republican's district office in Ottawa. "We have come to believe that our congressman has become a leader in the amnesty (for illegal immigrants) movement within the Republication party," said Roseanna Pulido, of Ottawa. "We also believe the immigration issue is just not a border state issue. It is a national issue of national security." John Aschinger, of Streator,...

This past weekend, 7/26 and 7/27, Jim & Chris Robinson, Syncro & I met up near McAllen, Texas to observe first-hand the situation at the border along the Rio Grande. My report is as follows: Border Patrol Station Operations: Friday and Saturday we set about observation of the McAllen Border Patrol Station at 3000 West Military Hwy. Buses were indeed seen leaving at intervals throughout the day. It was mentioned on this thread that a warehouse was being used to stage illegals for transport elsewhere. Its location had been reported as 3700 W. Ursula Ave (Thanks to Buckeye Texan here)....

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is putting a call out to the American people: He needs help to kill President Barack Obama’s plans to grant executive amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Sessions wants Americans to melt Congress’ phone lines, demanding their members make a precondition of any border crisis bill that Obama’s executive order amnesty via the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and any future plans be stopped.

This weekend, I had the opportunity to speak with a group of anti-amnesty protesters in Annapolis, Maryland. They were a small but very enthusiastic group and were grateful that I was there to provide a greater awareness for their cause. They protested at the intersection of West St. and Route 2 in Annapolis, a short drive from the governor’s mansion, where Martin O’Malley is seeking to bring illegal immigrant children, who crossed the southern border to Maryland. One of the ladies I spoke with was part of the “Free Republic” group. While they didn’t organize this particular protest, they...

Howdy everyone!! We've loaded up the FReepercampmobile and we're enroute for Texas!! Din't make it very far last night due to a non-serious (we hope) engine problem going up the Grapevine. Added a quart of oil and kept on trucking. Then we encountered a construction zone and it took us over two hours just to travel 12 miles, so we decided to pull into the nearest RV park and camp for the night. We're hoping to make Las Cruces tonight and then, God willing, we will arrive McAllen Texas sometime tomorrow night and will plant our flag at our border...

Howdy everyone!! We're loading up the FReepercampmobile today and will be departing for Texas this afternoon. God willing, we will arrive McAllen Texas sometime Thursday night and will plant our flag at our border encampment on the American bank of the Rio Grande River!! We had planned this expedition several weeks ago and were intending to urge Governor Perry to call out the Texas Guard and or Texas militia units at his disposal and also to learn first hand what's happening at the border and to protest the government's lawless actions there. The president will not secure the border, will...

Calling all citizens and patriots! Protest Obama's lawlessness on the border! Prepare to defend the border, repel invaders!! Obama's continuing lawlessness is totally out of control and is now threatening our very existence as a free Republic. Not only is he not securing the border, he's doing the exact opposite. They tried getting a "Dream Act" through the congress to give amnesty to young illegal aliens, but it was rejected by the representatives of we the people in congress, so the president has unconstitutionally "passed" his own "Dream Act" and is now enforcing it rather than the immigration laws legally...

Here are a few fotos from I95 overpass demonstrations in Brevard County, Florida today. The first pic is at the Port St. John overpass ... The other two are at the Pineda overpass where there were about 30 patriots waving and whooping at the high point. There was very positive response from the passing cars but especially from the truckers and bikers. I arrived at 12:30 and made some new friends with like-minded folks from local organizations including: www.SpaceCoastPatriots.com www.ActSpaceCoast.org www.Brevard912.net www.BrevardTeaParty.com FReeper Guenevere was there too but I must have missed her.

Hey there Freepers... I've been reading Free Republic for Years, finally joined. The wife and I were at the Orlando overpass protest today, it sure was hot. Not a huge crowd today, but we slowed down traffic on I-4 for a while. Many honks! I was also at the Ocoee event on Friday. Keep up the good work.

. 2014-07-19 : St. Petersburg, FL We had about 35 Patriots show-up at the Overpass "Anti-Immigration" rally at I-275 and 54th Street. Traffic volume suggests that we reached almost 20,000 drivers with the message, over a three-hour period. Photographs will be published as soon as they're available. The most noteworthy event was the appearance of a "Professional Air Survelliance Drone". The drone was not the typical $ 300 drone that's available at Brookstone. Nor was it a Dragan Flyer series. The drone was a quad-copter, white in color, with a solid structrual interface between the center section (oval shaped) and...

We had about a hundred people present at our anti-illegal alien protest in Sacramento today. We had people representing Oath Keepers, Overpasses for America, Free Republic and other groups, including a contingent of volunteers from the Bolinas Border Patrol. There was only one counter protester that I'm aware of and in the end she gave in and took up an American flag and a "Secure the Borders" sign. I overheard her say, "OMG, I've always been a flaming liberal and now I'm a member of the tea party!" But she was also an admitted lunatic and possibly an escapee from...

There were about 6 or so at the protest in Lawrence, Kansas. People honked their horns and waved (often with just one finger). The police got a few complaints that we were hanging over the side. He didn't want to make us leave and said we could stay until 12:30. Most of the responses were positive and I think it was encouraging. I met some great people. I was amazed at how many people are so disrespectful. This is a small city and I'm sure I'll interact with those people again. Am I supposed to be respectful to them? I...

We should resurrect the "Send a Brick to Congress" initiative that was done in 2006. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1626048/posts http://web.archive.org/web/20060417173015/http://www.send-a-brick.com/

Today at the Mexican Consulate just south of downtown Houston a protest against the illegal alien border surge was staged by concerned patriots. Apparently the word got out to the opposition forces. There were 25 to 30 illegals and associated supporters there as well. Our side numbered from 40 to 50 while I was on site. We were staged on opposite sides of the street. The illegals (they proclaimed themselves so, chanting "undocumented and unafraid") had a small public address system and had a designated wise-ass on the mike leading chants and taunts which actually were pretty comedic. The...
