State Senate Minority Leader Sam Slom has urged Gov. Neil Abercrombie to provide additional information regarding the governor's decision to ask Dr. Neal Palafox to withdraw his nomination as director of the state Department of Health. Abercrombie asked Palafox to withdraw his nomination in January but has not disclosed the reason. A television news report, citing unnamed sources, said Palafox was involved in a medical reimbursement investigation. In a letter to Abercrombie on Friday, Slom (R, Diamond Head-Hawaii Kai) said he has spoken with federal sources that say Palafox is not under investigation. The senator had no information about a...

Hawaii's Senate minority leader is accusing Gov. Neil Abercrombie of politicizing the state's health department by firing his nominee to replace Chiyome Fukino, a woman best known to the nation as Barack Obama's birth certificate guardian. Sen. Sam Slom, the sole Republican in Hawaii's upper house, is denouncing Abercrombie's handling of the nomination of Dr. Neal Palafox to be the successor to Fukino as director of the state's health department. He said he is convinced Abercrombie asked Dr. Palafox to withdraw his nomination because the nominee fired two Hawaii health department employees who were politically connected. "Palafox was determined to...

Abercrombie & Fitch has had strong financial results since mid-2010, but it was one of the slowest major retailers to respond to the new reality of the recession, and as a result its recovery lagged far behind most of its competitors.

Hawaii's new governor, Neil Abercrombie, stirred the "birther" pot just before Christmas when he promised to launch an expedition for Obama's long form birth certificate.

Video: Lost in Translation; Hollywood Reporter and friend of Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie, Mike Evans, stated that Governor Abercrombie used a search warrant to try and acquire Obama's birth certificate at the hospitals in Hawaii. I missed this shocking tidbit the first 20 times listening to the numerous Evans' audio clips. A search warrant!? Hat tip to Guildgob for pointing out this shocking revelation. Video clip below...

The Governor Spoke... I watched Governor Neil Abercrombie's State of the State address on TV, only a few days after attending an event where the Governor spoke and took questions from a gathering of perhaps 100 diehard Democrat supporters and 12-15 elected Democrats. I thought the two speeches eloquent, well composed, and both were delivered in a far-more measured tone than one might have expected from "firebrand" Neil Abercrombie. While the old Neil was very much in evident, he was uncharacteristically subdued, and I rather like his new style. I've known the Governor for many years and once had what...

Posted: Jan 28, 2011 11:23 PM MST Updated: Jan 28, 2011 11:36 PM MST HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The lawyer for Hawaii's former health director says he still has no idea why the governor asked him to step down. Doctor Neal Palafox resigned after about five weeks on the job. The governor's staff is being tight lipped about the investigation. Although it was the reason he asked the doctor to resign and even though no one claims to know details, sources tell Hawaii News Now it's because he's linked to a medical reimbursement fraud investigation. "The governor came and told him...

Abercrombie asked nominee to withdraw Doctor says he doesn’t know the reason for request January 29, 2011 HONOLULU (AP) - Gov. Neil Abercrombie's office said he asked Dr. Neal Palafox to withdraw his nomination to lead the state Department of Health, contradicting his administration's previous claim that Palafox withdrew himself. Abercrombie spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz confirmed it was the governor and not Palafox who asked for the withdrawal. Dela Cruz declined to discuss the reason for Palafox's abrupt departure, and Palafox has said he doesn't know what led to his Wednesday dismissal after a month as interim Health Department director.

The health nominee for the Hawaii Department of Health withdrew the nomination. Read the article: www.staradvertiser.com/news/hawaiinews/20110127_health_nominee_pulls_out.html. Dr. Neal Palafox withdrew his nomination by Gov. Neil Abercrombie because he said that he was blindsided by an investigation into his billing practices. That is the external reason, which is acceptable. However, in every case like this, there is an internal, below-the-surface reason, which is usually the real reason. Reading between the lines, I hypothesize that since this position has become a very "hot potato" because the Department of Health is where usurper POTUS Barack Hussein Obama's "real" birth certificate supposed to have...

Radio personality Mike Evans, who told at least three radio stations and possibly more that Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie said there is no birth certificate in Hawaii for Barack Obama, now says he's going to be grilling the governor on the issue, if he can get hold of him. WND reported earlier this week when Evans said in an interview with 92 KQRS Morning Show in Minneapolis that the governor told him he simply wasn't able to find any of the documentation he was hunting. At the time Evans, a long-time Hawaii resident, explained that Abercrombie, whom Evans has known...

verbal diarrhea from Limbaugh is nothing new of course, the four times married, prescription pain killer drug addled paragon of perfection presumes to lecture all Americans on morality and proper behavior.Rush Limbaugh among others is calling again for Obama to produce the long form of his birth certificate to prove he was born an American. It is a sad reflection that after the Gabbie Giffords shooting that he and his fellow pundits are back beating this dead horse one more time........ The Team Obama strategy of keeping quiet whilst painting the birthers as kooks and Nazis has crumbled to pieces in the wake of Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie's very public failure to produce an Obama long-form birth certificate, as pledged in December. Now it's back in the public eye, in a big way: even those who had kept the issue at arm's length are taking a fresh look at the birthers' much-maligned claims this week. Neil Abercrombie had pledged to put the issue to bed for good... but has instead popped-open hornet's nest. So who is this odd duck, anyway? Buffalo, NY...
