HONOLULU -- Dr. Neal Palafox, who was nominated by Gov. Neil Abercrombie to head the state health department, withdrew his nomination abruptly last month. KITV 4 News has uncovered an interesting development that happened just two weeks before that sudden resignation. Palafox's lawyer said Palafox was reducing a controversial state health department program at the request of the governor just before he was asked to step down, only one month into the job.

Dewey Kim has a checkered past.
It sounds as if Palafox's dismissal had more to do with local Hawaii (corrupt) politics as usual than with certifigate.
Because it was a ruse for AberCommie to kick him out.
