The reason for Palafox's resignation was a mystery, and he wouldn't say whether he was asked to resign.
Abercrombie's office said Palafox asked the Democratic governor to withdraw his nomination.
"Gov. Abercrombie accepted Dr. Palafox's request and will make a new appointment for the Health Director as soon as possible," spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz said in a statement.

Maybe the new Health Director found out the job entailed certifiying a brand spanking new birth certificate for “The One” and decided discretion was the better part of valor.
There is no birth cert. to be traded for.
I wonder if this person ever worked for Kapiolani hospital...like around 1960 or so.
Who knows how all this might be connected, or not.

He failed to do the very first thing he said he would do as a new governor. (Failed to uncover the BC)
And now his appointed Health Director is gone even before he starts?
I wouldn’t take that job either. It’s a set up to be screwed over as Certifigate rages onward.
Wouldn’t someone guilty of fraud be perfect for this job?

The previous Governor’s Health Director (Dr. Fukino) did everything in her power to assist Obama, even unilaterally declaring him to be a “native born American citizen.”
I can’t see anything that the new Governor’s administration can do that hasn’t already been done by former Governor Lingle’s administration.

The billing fraud seems unsubstantiated in the article. More likely he does not want to be subpoenaed later or involved in BC issues.
