Bristol Palin is about to make her debut on the small screen on ABC Family Television’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager. ABC announced Tuesday Bristol will play herself on the ABC Family show. According to the network, Bristol will play a friend of the show’s main character, Amy. The show has recently focused on how Amy reacts to an unexpected pregnancy. “I am thrilled to be on this show and to be part of a program that educates teens and young adults about the consequences of teen pregnancy,” Bristol said in a statement provided by ABC.

Watching "ABC Family" earlier today with the kids. The show was about cheerleaders and there was this exchange between 2 teen boys: Boy 1: "Did you get some ass? Boy 2: "Ass?" Boy 1: "You know, like in a porn movie. Did you get some ass?"

While channel smurfing I happened across an ad on the Disney Channel for a movie entitled: "Romy & Michell: The Beginning"in the ad one character asks the other:"Who would you rather have sex with: Rock Hudson or Carey Grant?"the other character responds thusly: "Aren't they both dead?"I am no prude but I thought this was supposed to be a "Family" channel.If I had children I would never let them watch this channel.Perhaps the odd weather of late can be blamed onWalt Disney's spinning in his grave affecting the rotation of the Earth,rather than the mythical Global Warming.

Is anyone else trying to watch the Christmas programming on "ABC Family"? There are several good programs on, many of them are the old Clay-mation Christmas shows that I remember from my childhood. And before I get bashed for not knowing that Jesus is the reason for the season, I do. But I also know that these are good, wholesome classics and are a Christmas tradition in my family.
