Seeing the Chicago Rally with a fresh perspective: On 9-11-01 most of the passengers in the commercial jets cooperated with terrorists. Why? Political correctness dictated that they do so. Who turned out to be right? The passengers of United 93 -- this century's first stark example of patriotic courage. At the Chicago rally most of the Trump supporters avoided confrontations. Who turned out to be right? In that case there was NO WAY that any patriotic civilian could do the right thing. The law plays favorites against patriotism, especially in thuggish hellholes like Chicago. So sure, a man could keep...

Flight Student Facing Deportation Over Trump Post Russ Niles A commercial flight school student from Egypt is in jail in California after he posted what immigration officials perceive as a threat to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. It appears the Immigration and Customs Enforcement department is intent on deporting Emadeldin Elsayed for the Facebook post even though there was not enough evidence to charge him criminally. In the post, Elsayed said he would be willing to go to prison for life for killing Trump and the world would thank him for it. Elsayed and his lawyer Hani Bushra both have...

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, who served alongside former President George W. Bush, issued a bold criticism of Republican presidential contender Donald Trump Monday, saying the billionaire “sounds like a liberal Democrat†when it comes to the Iraq war and 9/11. “You heard at the debate Saturday Donald Trump accuse President Bush and his team of purposefully lying the country into war in Iraq, saying, ‘I will tell you they lied, they said there were weapons of mass destruction, there were none. They knew there were none.’ Your response?†Fox News anchor Bret Baier asked. The former vice president was...

Marco Rubio's attendance problems weren't limited to votes on defense issues in the U.S. Senate. He also missed most of the post-9-11 Select Committee on Security. This was an especially important committee in Tallahassee considering that some of the 9-11 hijackers had scored Florida driver's licenses. ... When Rubio did attend meetings, he voiced opposition to measures to track foreigners inside the United States ... Rubio has faced criticism for his absenteeism in the United States Senate. Jeb Bush told Rubio in one debate, "You should be showing up for work."

In the poll, Cruz is the first choice of 28 percent of Republican primary voters, while Trump gets 26 percent. They're followed by Marco Rubio at 17 percent, John Kasich at 11 percent, Ben Carson at 10 percent and Jeb Bush at 4 percent.

Trump's crafty move on Iraq: His war comments allow conservatives to move past the Bush years while saving face Most of Saturday night's Republican debate held by CBS in South Carolina was more of the same stuff we've seen in the previous eight debates, with Donald Trump insulting people and lots competitive right-wing posturing. But there was one moment that was unexpected, when Trump went after Jeb Bush by attacking his brother, former President George W. Bush. Trump accused the former president of lying about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and called the war "a big, fat mistake." Trump...

Monday on his radio show, conservative talk show host Mark Levin took aim at Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump for his attacks on former President George W. Bush during last Saturday night’s debate on CBS.

George W. Bush returned to the presidential campaign trail on Monday night to campaign for Jeb Bush, telling voters in South Carolina that his brother has the “experience and character to be a great president.â€â€¦ The former president pointed to the abundant “name-calling†in the 2016 election — an apparent reference to the jabs exchanged between Jeb Bush and Donald Trump in recent months — and joked that according to their father, George H.W. Bush, “labels are for soup cans.â€â€¦Although the former president did not once mention Trump’s name in his 20-minute speech, the implicit message was clear: Trump is...

I am sick of Donald Trump. Utterly sick of him. I'm sick of his bullying, I'm sick of his whining, I'm sick of his profanity and I'm sick of his constant repetition. Now I'm sick of his lying too. Last night he blamed 9-11 on George W. Bush and he came right out and said that Bush lied the US into the war in Iraq. I think this time he has burned one too many bridges. Bill Kristol: Asked to defend his 2008 comment that George W. Bush should have been impeached, Donald Trump said: "They lied. They said there...

Trump certainly sound like Obama when he was talking about George Bush. If there weren’t WMD’s how did Saddam Hussein use them? Why did we keep finding left overs for many years to come? Yes, Saddam exaggerated what he had, but there was enough WMD’s to worry about. Plus I don’t know anyone even on the liberal side that blames Bush for 9-11. That was just way off. This really could be Trump’s downfall. Check it out: Donald Trump and Jeb Bush argue over Iraq, 9/11 and weapons of mass destruction at Saturday night’s debate moderated by CBS News. Trump...

If I had a time machine, one of the first things I think I'd do would be to pop back to Free Republic, circa 2006, and post something like this:Hi, everybody, this is Eric Pode, FR timetraveler from the year 2016, talkin' at ya!Just wanted to let ya know that ten years hence, thousands of Freepers are gonna support a Presidential candidate who: thinks President Bush lied about WMD to get us into war, thinks 9-11 was President Bush's fault since it "happened on his watch", and thinks President Bush should be impeached!!I wonder what the reaction would be.Would I...

Apologies. I have no idea why I indulged myself to write so long to make such a simple point. Long story short: You can't tell people they've been flat wrong about everything for 17 years, without giving the slightest reason why they should change their entire scheme of thinking, and expect them to support you. This was a brief line in the podcast (which we'll post tomorrow) which I expanded, for reasons I can now no longer guess, into a 1500 word exegesis on the obvious. Just skip to the brief update. ... The "ego" in the headline doesn't actually...

Apparently liberals on college campuses are not only "triggered" by what they hear from conservatives but even by their silence. "The University of Minnesota's undergraduate student government approved an annual moment of silence to recognize the victims of 9/11, after rejecting a similar proposal earlier this month," the Pioneer Press reported on November 24, 2015. "The vote by the Minnesota Student Association Forum was nearly unanimous, said MSA President Joelle Stangler." "The student government's legislative body approved the measure on a voice vote Tuesday evening, so no actual tally is available. Stangler estimated four or five people voiced opposition." "It...

A 5-year-old boy from Chattanooga, Tenn., made a heartbreaking call to the police on Sunday telling the dispatcher that "my daddy and my mama got shot." The boy, who seemed too young to know his address, calmly tells the dispatcher that "this dude shot ’em" and asks her to "tell the police officers to come." The police found George Dillard, 24, and Lakita Hicks, 25, dead in the house, according to News Channel 9. They say the child, who remains unnamed, is unharmed and is currently with extended family. The boy remained on the phone with the dispatcher for more...

"The citizens need to know they need to be able to protect themselves because if they call 911, we can't guarantee we're going to get there in time to help you," says Police Protective League President Jamie McBride. He told Paige that Thursday morning between 5:30 and 10 a.m., there were just three patrol cars assigned to the West LA division. Two cars to protect more than 200,000 people in a 65 square mile radius.

Earlier today GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump retweeted an obviously fake photo featuring a woman in a burqa, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and Saudi Prince Al-Waleed Talal. Prince Talal noticed and issued a response. It's not clear what bailouts Talal is referring to, but this certainly is a rocky start to diplomatic relations should Trump win the White House. This isn't the first time the two have feuded. In the past, Trump referred to Talal as a "dopey" prince. Prince Talal noticed and issued a response. It's not clear what bailouts Talal is referring to, but this certainly is...

Just who is Donald J. Trump's Prince, and why has he come now to buy into the Plaza Hotel?
