The lawsuit also seeks the name of the man who passed BuzzFeed the document containing this alleged defamation -- but BuzzFeed won't reveal it, claiming they have journalistic privilege to not name sources, despite being a Listicle Farm and despite putting this unvetted crap up on the internet when no other journalists would. The court upheld the bizarre claim that BuzzFeed is a journalistic operation and not just a place you go to find out which Friends character you are or read about Thirty Things That Only a 90s Kid Would Remember. Things are getting increasingly interesting and simultaneously obvious. Thursday night the Washington Post reported that FBI Director Christopher Wray had relieved FBI Chief Legal Counsel, James Baker, of his responsibilities within the department. Attorney James Baker accompanied FBI Asst. Director “Andy” McCabe to the Tuesday congressional hearing with the House Intelligence Community. Curiously, in addition to other lines of inquiry, during the questioning McCabe was asked about whether James Baker was authorized to speak to the media about the Steele Dossier and the underlying ‘counterintelligence’ operation. Asst. Director McCabe responded that Baker would not be authorized to take such action....

Former President Barack Obama's White House ethics lawyer warned of "taking to the streets" in the case Robert Mueller is fired from the special investigation into President Trump. Shaub held the position of Director of the U.S. Office for Government Ethics from 2013 through July 2017, when he submitted his resignation to Trump. Shaub said at the time that Trump has created an environment where ethics don't matter. Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) said Friday that "rumors" on Capitol Hill suggest President Trump could fire special counsel Robert Mueller before Christmas, after Congress leaves Washington for the winter recess. “The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on Dec. 22, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire Robert Mueller," Speier told California's KQED News.
