(D-Calif.) said Friday that "rumors" on Capitol Hill suggest President Trump
could fire special counsel Robert Mueller before Christmas, after Congress leaves Washington for the winter recess.
“The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on Dec. 22, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire Robert Mueller," Speier told California's KQED News.
the fact she brings this up reflects the reality. Why would trump do this? Mueller is hanging himself with his own rope......
They’re baiting Trump because they know Mueller has blown all credibility and has come up empty.
Why? The whole thing is self-destructing. Nothing would and should stand the scrutiny if any appeal is undertaken. It’s hopelessly compromised.

Trump is not going to fire Mueller unless it is part of the strategy to move the investigation to the next phase. Most FReepers are dead wrong about Mueller.
Fire Mueller and stop funding Democratic fantasies about collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Instead, investigate the collusion between the Clinton campaign, the DNC, and the Fake News Media.

I wonder if that’s the only “rumor” on the Hill, or is it just one of about a half a gazillion “rumors” floating around on the Hill ALL the time? And is there anything in particular to about this particular “rumor” that might make any more valid that the other half a gazillion “rumors”?

This could be an intentional leak to ferret out leaders in Trump’s inner circle...
Maybe NOT fire him-—maybe give Mueller a date certain when a conclusion on this ‘investigation’ must come to a close.
Recent moves by Trump’s lawyers to say Mueller illegally acquired transition emails may be a precursor event - lots of shady/illegal crap happening under Mueller’s reins of control...

Definitely. The longer Mueller’s dog and pony show has run, the deeper he has dug his own hole. In just the last couple of weeks, so much incriminating news has been released about him and his co-conspirators that we may never have known about without his faux investigation. Or, as Dan Bongino calls it, his “inquisition”.
Please, God, can we see these people dressed in orange before 2018?
