With energy prices putting the squeeze on household budgets throughout the country, the Biden Administration announced plans in April to tap the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve to lower gas prices. At the time, a Department of Energy news release said this action would “address the pain Americans are feeling at the pump as a result of Putin’s Price Hike and to help lower energy costs. That includes President [Joe] Biden authorizing the release of 1 million barrels per day from the SPR for the next six months.” As the amount of oil in the SPR has fallen to its lowest...

A historic church in West Virginia was destroyed in what may have been arson, and neighbors are deeply disturbed. The St. Colman Catholic Church had already been destroyed by the time crews with the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department made it to the scene early Sunday. “At this time the fire is considered suspicious in nature and is being investigated as arson,” the department said. The church was listed in the National Archives Catalog, and the website said it was originally built in 1877 to 1878 as a hewn log structure. “This is still evident in the hand hewn sills and...

A Staten Island judge of the Supreme Court of New York struck down this law as incompatible with the New York State Constitution. Apparently the Democrats who passed it wanted those holding lawful permanent resident status or US work authorization to be able to vote. The cover theory being, well, they live here, they pay taxes here, they're here legally, they're affected by government policies - no taxation without representation, right? So let's give them representation. The actual theory probably being, well, if we do something for them, they'll do something for us, like vote Democrat! lol But I don't...

Stopping this closes the ever-opening Overton Window of eventually making this a federal election practice. Last year, the New York City Council passed legislation that allows non-citizens who have lived in the city for at least 30 days and are legal permanent residents in the U.S. to vote in city elections for mayor, public advocate, the borough president, and city council. The law also applies to green card holders, individuals with workers' permits, and DACA recipients. The law was set to go into effect on January 2023. Fortunately, a group affiliated with the Republican National Committee filed a lawsuit challenging...

Last night, news broke that the Biden Administration is taking behind-the-scenes steps to further strangle the already constricted market for ammunition in the United States. The move could result in a reduction of the commercial production of 5.56 caliber ammunition by over thirty percent. *snip* Supplies would undoubtedly plummet and prices would undoubtedly skyrocket, putting the availability of ammunition for self-defense, training, and competition out of reach to many Americans. *snip* Keane on Wednesday night published a tweet, which stated: “The U.S. Military is actively considering shutting down the sale [of] M855/SS109 ammo from Lake City to the commercial market.”...

Actor Matthew McConaughey appeared at the White House press briefing on Tuesday, endorsing a series of gun control proposals that coincided with some of President Joe Biden’s radical agenda. “As I said, this moment is different,” McConaughey said while appearing at the White House press briefing room. “We are in a window of opportunity right now that we have not been in before. A window in where it seems like real change — real change can happen.” McConaughey said he spent time with the victims and families of the mass school shooting in his hometown of Uvalde, Texas last week...
