If Joe Biden were a 12 year old child, I’d think he had oppositional defiant disorder, because he seems unable to react calmly to any question that confronts him or which he doesn’t like. Biden has had a succession of confrontations with voters or media where he’s been short or nasty with them. He was at it again over the weekend in New Hampshire when questioned by a 21 year old female student, Madison Moore. After a New Hampshire voter asks @JoeBiden why they should trust he can turn his campaign around, he asks if she’s ever been to a...

The Los Angeles Chargers entered the offseason hoping to have a resolution on quarterback Philip Rivers prior to free agency. The team has now made that decision. On Monday, the Chargers announced that their longtime starting quarterback will enter free agency, ending his tenure with the organization after 16 seasons. "After stepping back a bit from last season, we reconnected with Philip and his representatives to look at how 2019 played out, assess our future goals, evaluate the current state of the roster and see if there was a path forward that made sense for both parties," general manager Tom...

New York's so-called "Green Light" law authorizing persons in the US illegally to obtain drivers' licenses has led the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to revoke expedited travel privileges for anyone using these licenses as identification for air travel. Ken Cuccinelli, acting deputy secretary of DHS explained that "the state's efforts to grant sanctuary to illegal immigrants by blocking us from verifying the license holder's identity prevents us from protecting air travelers from potential terrorist attacks carried out by persons having this document. Our only safe option is to deny all New York licensees access to sped up security screening...

“Beware of false prophets , which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Matthew 7:15 One of the great tricks the American Left seeks to play is bait and switch. This old con man trick lures the unsuspecting mark with an attractive label or description. Once they sell you the item, you realize that you didn’t get what was advertised. All too often a person deceived in this way ends up paying too much for a shoddy product. The Left’s bait and switch lure is the phrase “democratic socialism” and the trick is nothing new....

I debated posting because I don't have experience observing 79 year old women. I don't know what behavior is normal. I decided to observe House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after noticing an expression on her face that reminded me of the facial expression comic Imogene Coca used when she wanted to appear dopey. As I observed her behavior she seemed at times to behave as if she was unaware of where she was and that millions of people were watching her. I initially thought she might have been affected by alcohol or medication. After she childishly tore up the speech I...

"I think we're living in a moment right now like no other," Klobuchar said. "Wherever you were on that impeachment hearing, I got to see some brave things happen. I got to see Mitt Romney take a vote that was really hard for him. And as he said, he couldn't do it any other way because of his oath. And I got to talk about that in Democratic audiences, and everyone would cheer for Mitt Romney in the last few days. And I think it shows how things are kind of upside-down in our country."

~ Monday, February 10, 2020 Remarks as Prepared for DeliveryWelcome and thank you for your interest in the FY 2021 President’s Budget Request for the Department of Justice. Our FY 2021 budget builds on three years of progress – progress in reducing violent crime, driving down opioid abuse, strengthening national security, and helping the vulnerable among us. However, there is more work to be done, and I’m pleased this budget request will help us with our work ahead.  During the last two years of the prior administration, violent crime increased throughout the country. Under President Trump, DOJ made prosecuting...

Over the last several decades, have we ever seen a year start as strangely as 2020 has? Global weather patterns have gone completely nuts, large earthquakes are popping off like firecrackers, it looks like the plague of locusts in Africa could soon develop into the worst in modern history, and a massive plague of bats is severely terrorizing parts of Australia. On top of all that, African Swine Fever is wiping out millions upon millions of pigs around the globe, the H1N1 Swine Flu is killing people in Taiwan, there have been H5N1 Bird Flu outbreaks in China and in...

The British government has declared Coronavirus a “serious and imminent threat”, a classification which gives the secretary of state for health emergency powers to detain people suspected of being infected, as four more cases emerge. Until now, the roughly 250 Britons quarantined at two hospitals after arriving back into the United Kingdom from China have been in isolation voluntarily on the advice of the government. But With the declaration “that the incidence or transmission of novel Coronavirus constitutes a serious and imminent threat to public health”, the hospitals in the UK become legally recognised as “isolation” areas, the Department of...

We have, sadly, gotten used to constant bad news about immigration policy. There’s the public charge rule aimed at denying benefits, to eligible immigrants to the Trump administration’s attack on DACA and the “Dreamers.” There’s the proposal to increase naturalization fees, which is clearly aimed at limiting the immigrant vote. Add the recent announcement on potential travel restrictions on seven more countries, and you have to wonder whether anything good can ever come out of Washington.
