“People ought to go to jail,” the Louisiana Republican said to Sean Hannity after explaining there are still “dirty cops” in Washington undermining the president’s agenda. “I have seen some classified information I can't go into — but, I can say this: Hopefully, Durham names names. I think the attorney general is waiting to see what comes out of that. And then, hopefully, they go after those people and put them in jail.”

A woman dressed as Minnie Mouse has been filmed violently assaulting a Las Vegas security guard. Shocking video was posted to Instagram and shows a woman dressed up as the beloved Disney character getting into a brawl within seconds of the pair interacting with one another on the Sin City sidewalk. Minnie Mouse is seen to lose the head of her costume as she punches a red-headed woman who is seen to be wearing a black 'Security' jacket. During the punch-up, Minnie accidentally punches a man in a Mickey costume who was attempting to pull the women apart. A third...

If, next January, Donald Trump takes the presidential oath for a second time [snip] his road to reelection will have started in these busy, perhaps fateful, few days of early February, when Trump’s audacious flair for self-promotion converged with the bumbling of Democrats to produce an explosive campaign launch. [snip] His State of the Union speech was a lethally effective exploitation of the presidential bully pulpit. Did he overstate his accomplishments? Yes. Did he understate the record of his predecessor? Yes. Is that unusual in a campaign-year State of the Union? No. But no previous address so cunningly adapted the...

Drudge: Susan Rice warns Snoop Dogg to 'back the **** off'... This is despicable. Gayle King is one of the most principled, fair and tough journalists alive. Snoop, back the **** off. You come for @GayleKing, you come against an army. You will lose, and it won’t be pretty. https://t.co/nUxcYCLS62— Susan Rice (@AmbassadorRice) February 8, 2020

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit back at critics who deride her experience as a bartender during an appearance on an episode of Showtime's "Desus & Mero" released Thursday. The congresswoman mixed a few drinks for her fellow Bronx natives, show hosts Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, on a tour of their home borough. When Desus asked Ocasio-Cortez how she takes criticism of her service industry background, she suggested that some members of Congress think they're "smarter" than their working class constituents and colleagues. "I feel like people are always clowning themselves when they say that because it's like, okay so...

Today’s CG is from The Arkansas Gazette. UFO NQAOUOL GDQ HOPDEO, UFO EDLO GDQ BLO BHTO UD FOBL. —LQEA You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications. The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram). Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated. PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group...

The ad, titled "Pete's Record," highlights the differences between the candidates, with dramatic music swelling playing as Biden’s experience and accomplishments are recited. “Both Vice President Biden and former Mayor Buttigieg have taken on tough fights. Under threat of nuclear Iran, Joe Biden helped to negotiate the Iran deal,” the ad says. “And under the threat of disappearing pets, Buttigieg negotiated lighter licensing regulations on pet chip scanners.” The mocking continues: "Both Vice President Biden and former Mayor Pete have helped shape our economy. Joe Biden helped save the auto industry, which revitalized the economy of the Midwest and led...

From 2016: Three weeks prior to the election, investigative journalist James O'Keefe's Project Veritas released two videos of an undercover sting in which high-level Democrat operatives bragged about running a nationwide voter fraud operation financed by the DNC and the Clinton campaign: "We've been busing in people [illegal voters] for 50 years and we're not going to stop now." "[We know] this is illegal." "I think backward from how they would prosecute us, and then try to build out a method to avoid [getting caught]." "We implement the plan across every Republican-held state." "[Our operation] causes massive changes in state...

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her boyfriend Riley Roberts offered a gradual three-step approach for helping white people do their part to combat racism. The New York Democrat took on a wide range of questions from followers in her latest Instagram Q & A session Friday night, including one about how white people can help "chip away" at racist beliefs among fellow Caucasian friends and family. Ocasio-Cortez and Roberts--who has largely avoided public remarks during his girlfriend's time in office--offered side-by-side "tips on combating racism as a White person," as well as responses to questions about generational wealth and the "hot...

“It does look fairly intentional,” Turner told Status Coup. “I feel bad for the people of Iowa who take great pride in the caucus process. They were robbed. Our campaign, and all the thousands of volunteers that combed that entire state on behalf of this campaign, it was really wrong.” . . . “Now, they want to question the satellite, and it’s my understanding that Mr. Buttigieg’s campaign is calling foul on the satellites, somebody that’s polling about 0% in the black community, Hispanic community, communities of color, wants to question the satellite caucuses that did allow people who work...

Can we come out now? Is it safe, yet, to speak or write the truth? Or is it still too soon? Since the sudden, tragic death of Kobe Bryant two weeks ago, I’ve thought of the many men who, in just the past three years, have had their careers and reputations destroyed or seriously stained by allegations of sexual harassment or assault. Among them: Actors Scott Baio, Gerard Depardieu, Morgan Freeman. In TV, Tavis Smiley, Les Moonves, Matt Lauer. Noted astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, famous chef Mario Batali, opera star Placido Domingo. Minnesota Senator/comedian Al Franken was forced to resign...

... The third impeachment trial in American history ended on Wednesday not with a bang but with a whimper. But here in Waukesha County, a patchwork of suburbs, small cities and rural areas west of Milwaukee that holds more Republican votes than any other county in this crucial swing state, there was a nervous excitement. Yard signs have been flying off the shelves in the county Republican Party’s headquarters in a strip mall near a vegan food supply store. More than 150 people showed up for a State of the Union watch party on Tuesday night, applauding and cheering in...

Democrats are calling on Twitter and Facebook to take down an edited video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., ripping up the State of the Union address -- claiming it's designed to “mislead” people. “The latest fake video of Speaker Pelosi is deliberately designed to mislead and lie to the American people, and every day that these platforms refuse to take it down is another reminder that they care more about their shareholders’ interests than the public’s interests,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi's deputy chief of staff, said Friday.

What happened: The US Navy has dismantled its Task Force on Climate Change, which was designed to use the best available science to prepare naval leadership for global shifts in sea levels, melting ice sheets and ocean temperatures. The task force was shut down in March 2019 without a public announcement and climate change science and information has been scrubbed from the Department’s website. According to a Navy spokesperson the task force was “duplicative†and no longer needed, though the task force’s work has not been fully incorporated into the Navy’s decisionmaking process. Why it matters: The task force was designed to provide...
