Another high level employee of the NY Times made racist and antisemitic comments on social media. Jazmine Hughes, associate editor of the NY Times Magazine, made a series of racist and antisemitic comments on social media over a multi-year span. A number of the tweets came from Hughes’s personal account associated with her Times email. Forbes highlighted her on its 2018 “30 Under 30” list of influential media figures. The magazine even conducted an interview with her. Jazmine Hughes If I'm at the deli and I don't thank the cashier by saying "have a nice day. Even though you white"...

Their Shut Down DC effort will be taking place at the same time as the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York. Protesters have called for “a climate strike and global week of action from September 20th-27th.” The activist groups are encouraging kids to skip school and join them. “We will block key infrastructure to stop business-as-usual, bringing the whole city to a gridlocked standstill,” the event page for the protest reads. “Parents, workers, college students, and everyone who is concerned about the climate crisis will skip work and school and put off their other responsibilities to take action...

An elderly man in Florida had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back, fixed up nice - picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees. The pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while. He grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. When he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw it...

I was wandering back to one of my "secret" holes, one I’d discovered as a teenager and had never, ever seen another angler or trace of another human at since the early 1980s. I was 20 minutes into the usual 30-minute hike on animal trails when a person appeared from nowhere. I literally almost jumped out of my waders. The dude, who looked strung out and definitely not a fellow fisherman, asked, "Hey, you got some smokes?" "Nope, I don't smoke," I said. "Do you have any money?" "Nope, I'm fishing." "I need some money!" "Sorry, I can't help you."...

There are so many things wrong with this story - “He went underwater to propose to his girlfriend, but he didn't live to hear her say ‘yes’” - and all of them are related to social media. Before Facebook/Twitter/Instagram reduced all significant life events to the ubiquitous selfie and/or video clip it might have been sufficient to take your girlfriend to a $1700/night resort, where you booked a glass room submerged 30 feet below water, to propose. But then, I’m so old that I remember when that trip wouldn’t have happened until after the wedding so what do I know?But...

This was rank political exploitation of Biden family tragedies as a shield against legitimate inquiry. On today's Morning Joe, after mentioning the death of Joe Biden's first wife and daughter in a car accident, and the death of son Beau due to brain cancer, a mawkish Mika Brzezinski described Hunter as the "surviving son" and denounced criticism of him by the Trump campaign. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

A deadly surprise. Key point: Japan had a track record of surprise attacks. At midnight the Russian fleet slept. A few minutes after the clock struck 12 a.m. on February 9, 1904, Tsarist Russia's Pacific squadron peacefully bobbed at anchor at the Russian naval base nestled in the Manchurian town of Port Arthur. Ashore, the mood that night was festive as the garrison's army and naval officers availed themselves of refreshments at a birthday party for the admiral's wife. Soon their revelry was disturbed by flashes in the night and the dull thud of torpedoes slamming into metal hulls. Some...

Sometime-Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden was at it again, voicing his brand of tough-guy boasts that he can “beat Trump like a drum.”

A 1980s sci-fi cult film about a weirdo, Buckaroo Banzai, who travels through time dimensions in many manifestations battling evil and saving good guys reminds us of the latest incarnation of Joe Biden.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is desperately trying to apologize for the multiple times he appeared in blackface. He has asked for forgiveness, blaming his behavior on the fact that he comes from “a place of privilege.” But now, he adds, “I have to acknowledge that that comes with a massive blind spot.” Karen Wang, of Vancouver, British Columbia, doesn’t come from a place of privilege. She emigrated from mainland China in 1999 at age 23 and has built a respected day-care business. Last January, while running for Parliament as a candidate representing Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party in a special election,...

Joe and Hunter Biden are contradicting each other about the extent of the former vice president’s knowledge regarding his son’s shadowy Ukraine business dealings. “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden angrily told reporters, before accusing President Donald Trump of abusing his power by urging the Ukrainian government to investigate the matter. The former vice president’s claim is contradicted by Hunter Biden’s own words. The younger Biden admitted during a series of interviews for a New Yorker profile published in June that he in fact had discussed his foreign business interests with his father...

PITTSBURGH - A fight at a gas station on Pittsburgh's North Side was recorded on video and went viral on social media. Police said multiple people are now facing criminal charges, and the videos led to a protest Saturday and Sunday. For the second straight day, dozens of people gathered outside two Pittsburgh gas stations to protest the owners. Police also were back at the Exxon gas station after they said two customers were violently attacked by an owner and employee. Officers went into the gas station as they continue their investigation, collecting evidence throughout the day. On Sunday, protesters...

Like any religion, wokeness understands the need to convert children. The old Jesuit motto (sometimes attributed to Voltaire) was, after all, “Give me the child for the first seven years and I will give you the man.” And so I was moved but not particularly surprised by George Packer’s tale of a progressive school banishing separate restrooms for boys and girls because this reinforces the gender binary. The school did not inform parents of this, of course: Parents only heard about it when children started arriving home desperate to get to the bathroom after holding it in all day. Girls...

Deven Anderson, who recently joined Pete Buttigieg's (D.) presidential campaign as a regional organizing director in Columbia, S.C., has a history of praising anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and attended a sermon where Farrakhan said "You can walk with a Jew, but you can't walk with me." Between April 2010 and August 2013, Anderson tweeted more than 20 times about Farrakhan, praising his sermons and tweeting out quotes. Two days before Farrakhan spoke at Union Temple Baptist on April 25, 2010, in southeast Washington, D.C., Anderson tweeted about planning to attend the sermon. Deven D. Anderson @BrothaBlackMan So...

Jews Hate Bernie Sanders -- But Like Trump Only 4% of Jews in New York support Bernie. Mon Sep 23, 2019 Daniel Greenfield 11 Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism. New York has more Jews than any place outside Israel. It’s one of the few places with enough Jews for them to show up as a distinct group in polls and surveys. In the latest Siena College poll, Jews expressed their opinion about Senator Bernie Sanders. 14% of white voters in New...

The motives behind the “whistleblower” fake scandal are now becoming clear. – Some are speculating that this is a Democrat/media effort to protect Joe Biden from persistent allegations of wrongdoing in his dealings with Ukraine while serving as Vice President. Others are speculating that it’s an effort by the Democrat/media complex to recover from the utter failure of their fake “Russia Collusion” narrative. It is becoming increasingly clear that it is in fact both, and even more. It’s also an effort by the Democrat/media complex to protect Hillary Clinton and her corrupt use of Ukraine spying efforts against the Trump...

Universally condemned, envy is nonetheless widely practiced. To dislike a person because of the color of his skin is racism. To scorn someone because of her same-sex preference is homophobia. To disdain for reasons of gender is sexism. To frown upon people because of their foreign origins is xenophobia. Such manifestations of bigotry, to a person of peace, tolerance, and logic, are shameful and indefensible. Why? Color, sex, sexual orientation, and national origin have nothing to do with the content of one’s character. That’s one reason. Another is that humans are not a blob; each human is a unique individual....

President Trump is waging a nonstop, all-encompassing war against progressive culture, in magnitude analogous to what 19th-century Germans once called a "Kulturkampf." As a result, not even former President George W. Bush has incurred the degree of hatred from the left that is now directed at Trump. For most of his time in office, Trump, his family, his friends and his businesses have been investigated, probed, dissected and constantly attacked. In 2016 and early 2017, President Barack Obama's appointees in the FBI, CIA and Department of Justice tried to subvert the Trump campaign, interfere with his transition and, ultimately, abort...

Terrible news for Democrats: Hispanics could help throw the 2020 election to President Trump. The New York Times announced it was shutting down its Spanish-language edition, "NYT en Espanol," which launched in 2016. The venture, management explained, did not prove a financial success, in part because their readers were “less engaged than they were with our core site, and we did not see a path to converting them as subscribers.” Translation: Spanish-speaking readers perhaps didn’t buy what the anti-Catholic, anti-Trump, pro-abortion New York Times was selling. Who is surprised? The Times, along with other liberal media outlets, imagine Latinos to...
