  • Ted Cruz goes South

Sen. Ted Cruz is taking his campaign to the South in an effort to expand the GOP primary map and his chances of winning the Republican presidential nomination along with it. A group of Southern states are banding together to hold a Super Tuesday primary in March of next year — it has been dubbed the "SEC primary" — and the Texan is scheduled to embark on a bus tour through this Republican-dominated region of the country to stake his claim and create a buffer against underperformance in the key early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and...
  • Navy PROSECUTING Chattanooga Hero! They should give him a MEDAL!

Have you ever heard the phrase, "No good deed goes unpunished?" Well, leave it up to Obama's Navy to prosecute the hero of Chattanooga, rather than give him a medal. As unthinkable is it may be, after Lieutenant Commander Timothy White shot and killed Muslim Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, keeping Mohammad from murdering more unarmed military men, he is now being punished. I guess Lieutenant Commander White didn't get the Obama memo that killing mass-murdering Muslims is taboo in the military of which he is commander in chief. This is according to Allen West, a former congressman and retired U.S. Army...
  • Ted Cruz: The Most Interesting Presidential Debater

A lot of people are fixated on Donald Trump going into the first Republican Presidential debate. I’m actually more interested in another candidate – Ted Cruz – because I think he’s going to make a more intriguing debater. Flannery O’Connor, a conservative Catholic, explained in “The Fiction Writer and His Country” why she wrote such grotesque stories: “When you can assume that your audience holds the same beliefs you do, you can relax a little and use more normal means of talking to it; when you have to assume that it does not, then you have to make your vision...

Puerto Rico paid only $628,000 on a $58 million debt bill due Monday, putting the country into default for the first time. The country's Government Development Bank was supposed to make the full payment on its Public Finance Corporation debt service, but failed to do so. Moody's said it considers the lack of payment a default, CNBC reported. "Due to the lack of appropriated funds for this fiscal year the entirety of the PFC payment was not made today (the first business day after the Saturday deadline)," GDB President Melba Acosta-Febo said in a statement.

A healthy retired British nurse who had worked with the elderly has ended her life in a Swiss clinic because she was afraid of getting old and being unable to to kill herself, a British newspaper reported Monday. Gill Pharoah, 75, who suffered no serious debilitating illness and was still active, was given a lethal injection and was in good enough spirits to joke with a doctor before she died, the London Times newspaper reported. Pharoah was afraid of suffering a stroke as happened to one of her friends, who then lived on for many years with a poor quality...
  • In pictures: Calais migrant crisis sparks rival protests at UK port town

Rival protests on the Calais migrant crisis were held on Saturday in the sleepy British port town of Folkestone, with some people welcoming the migrants while others demonstrated against their arrival. The cranking up of the loudspeakers was the cue they had been waiting for. With their Union Jack flags flapping in the breeze and their sound systems blaring out an instrumental version of “God Save the Queen,” a handful of anti-immigrant protesters charged a group of pro-migrant demonstrators who were gathering on the other side of a road leading to the Eurotunnel’s Folkestone terminal. Police push back a Britain...

Planned Parenthood once boasted a list of sponsors that read like a who's who of the Fortune 100, but now some of the biggest companies say they never gave money to the embattled organization. Coca-Cola, Ford and Xerox are all among the companies listed in a roster of corporate sponsors claimed by Planned Parenthood, but representatives for the companies said they either never donated to the organization or had not in years. Planned Parenthood, which is now reeling from the release of two undercover videos in which top officials alluded to selling fetus parts, had published the company names on...

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) will break with his party and vote to defund Planned Parenthood today. Manchin said in a statement that he’s “very troubled by the callous behavior of Planned Parenthood staff in recently released videos, which casually discuss the sale, possibly for profit, of fetal tissue after an abortion.” “Until these allegations have been answered and resolved, I do not believe that taxpayer money should be used to fund this organization; instead those funds should be sent to other health care providers, including community health centers, which provide important women’s healthcare services,” the senator said. “While my vote...

Microsoft advises you to sweat it out MICROSOFT is warning customers that their free upgrade to Windows 10 may complete but not be activated for several days. A statement on the company website advises customers to "wait a few days and try again or just leave it and let it activate on its own. The activation servers might be overwhelmed." The advice is hollow succour for those who, perhaps less tech-savvy, want the reassurance of knowing that they definitely have a working Windows. Microsoft revealed just a day after the launch of Windows 10 that the OS has already been...

  • Ted Cruz expresses 'full out denial' of global warming during forum

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has stated that he doesn’t believe in the science behind global warming. In a forum hosted by Freedom Partners on Sunday evening, a key cog in the political network of the Koch Brothers, the Texas senator stated that “the data and facts don’t support” that global warming is occurring. The moderator of the forum described Cruz’s stance as “full out denial”. The Texas senator did not disagree with that characterisation. Cruz has previously compared those who believe in global warming to “flat-Earthers.” Cruz also criticised the new regulations, set to be unveiled by the Obama...

“The purpose of propaganda is not the personal instruction of the individual, but rather to attract public attention to certain things, the importance of which can be brought home to the masses only by this means. Here the art of propaganda consists in putting a matter so clearly and forcibly before the minds of the people as to create a general conviction regarding the reality of a certain fact…it must appeal to the feelings of the public rather than to their reasoning power”, wrote Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf. Hitler continued, “The aim of propaganda is not to try to...

This past weekend, one hundred medical professionals met in California for the 33rd Doctors for Disaster Preparedness meeting and they all warned that healthcare as we have known it is over, thanks to increasing federal regulations and taxes. And as Obamacare rolls across the land, it is leaving in its wake a shortage of doctors and surgeons. According to a Breitbart report, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Lee Hieb told the conference, "What do I mean by medical meltdown? Well, sadly, I’m here to tell you that the medical care you’ve enjoyed in the past in your life is simply not going...

Five days later, she’s still doing penance with the left for calling the CMP videos “disturbing,” eh? She must be in some awfully hot water behind the scenes: Josh Jordan’s right that she’s taking a risk here by stepping up for PP knowing that more videos are to come, with who knows what sort of horrors described between sips of wine and bites of salad. Her strategy to date has been to lie low and avoid comment on hot buttons as much as possible, lest it leave her caught between attacks from the right by the GOP and from the...

If you like your electricity, you can keep your electricity. The White House announced the release of his “Clean Power Plan” late yesterday, which plans to cut carbon emissions from power plants in the US by 30%. Obama promised in his own message that this would result in lower energy prices, which sounds very similar to the promises made with ObamaCare — that later turned out to be the Lies of the Year once implemented:

Socialist Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro is blaming a United States conspiracy for a supermarket riot over the weekend that left one 21-year-old man dead–a man witnesses say was shot to death by Venezuela’s Bolivarian National Guard. A mob attacked a supermarket warehouse in San Félix, Bolívar, on Friday, attempting to tear down the walls of a warehouse and acquire basic food items, such as milk and flour. Video shows a crowd of dozens organizing in front of the building and attempting to break through, with Bolivarian National Guard troops attempting to violently disperse the crowd. When police finally managed to...
