Mike Lee put together a fairly exceptional thread explaining exactly what a vote for Kamala Harris means, especially when it comes to religion. There are many reasons not to vote for Kamala but this is ... scary stuff. And something everyone on the Right who is claiming they're voting for Kamala because they hate Trump should absolutely have to read. Twice. Take a gander:

One letter, addressed to “The World” said: “... I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.” Prosecutors say Routh was in the area of Trump’s golf course and the former president’s Mar-a-Lago residence across multiple days in the month before he was arrested and had a Google search of how to...

Politico cartoonist Matt Wuerker has a big problem ...at least in his own mind. How to caricature Kamala Harris without appearing to be racist. The funny thing is that this obsession seems to have been shared with none of the other cartoonists that Wuerker contacted on this topic on Sunday in "‘It’s a Minefield’: Top Political Cartoonists on the Challenges of Caricaturing Kamala Harris.""It's a minefield?" Apparently only in the very very concerned mind of Matt Wuerker since that headline quote comes from ...Wuerker. Let us now join Wuerker rubbing his caricaturist worry beads:

Early last year, The Independent Review published an intriguing article: Hyperpoliticization of Higher Ed Trends in Faculty Political Ideology, 1969–Present. The authors, Phillip W. Magness (senior research faculty and director of research and education at the American Institute for Economic Research) and David Waugh (managing editor at the American Institute for Economic Research), assessed complex data obtained from surveys that evaluated the political views of higher education faculty [e.g., Carnegie Commission on Higher Education Faculty Survey (1969–1984), UCLA-Higher Education Research Institute Faculty Survey (1989–2016)]. The information confirms trends that Legal Insurrection has long noted: Since 2001, 2001 higher education faculty...

A federal judge has ruled that it would be unconstitutional for an Indiana prison to deny a transgender inmate sex reassignment surgery following the inmate's lawsuit against the facility. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the Indiana Department of Corrections last year on behalf of a transgender inmate, Jonathan C. Richardson, also known as Autumn Cordellionè, who was convicted of strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter to death in 2001. Indiana law, however, prohibits the Department of Corrections from using taxpayer dollars to fund sex reassignment surgeries for inmates. However, the ACLU argues in the lawsuit, filed on Aug. 28, 2023,...

Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky is back in the United States in an attempt to rally more support for his country's defensive war against Russia. But while his past visits have largely remained standard fare for foreign dignitaries (aside from his refusal to wear anything but olive drab), this latest trip has Republicans justifiably crying foul. [snip] Zelensky arrived in Pennsylvania on Monday, a hotly-contested election battleground state, courtesy of a U.S. taxpayer-funded C-17 Globemaster. What followed looked and sounded much more like a campaign stop than a diplomatic event, leaving onlookers to wonder exactly what the real purpose was. The day...
