Our friend, and longtime freeper, PennsylvaniaMom is in dire need of prayers. She has become a dear friend here on Free Republic - especially on the morning Quinn in the Morning talk show thread, to those of us who have been meeting since the thread was started many years ago.
Please, please, please add her to your daily prayers. Here is what she sent to me:
"I haven’t been on your thread (or Gregs) all summer.
Thought that heat, no AC at the house burning the candle on both ends, and just plain old age caught up to me. Throw in back pain and i slept in as long as I could each morning and took a lot of Advil. Too much which might end up saving my life.
I ended up on crutches, which broke open a small lesion, growing under the skin of my armpit pit. I bandaged it. When I started throwing up blood the “routine” questions of the ER Doctor at Westmoreland started the chain of events that lead to a ct scan (last week); endo and gastro scope that ended in 2 transfusions; a helicopter ride to UPMC (don’t remember any of this); and 30’hrs on a vent.
They found masses in my liver, pelvis, and breast. They don’t do estimates of time left, but they give me hope. I’ll be treated OP once they get me walking again. I’m BOTH estrogen and progesterone positive. ....hormone therapy will be used first to see how I respond. The 3rd type (my mind is fuzzy) I test negative for. But two of three kinds of receptors is good." _______________________________________
Again please add her to your prayer lists say a novena, and pray for the her family and the grandbabies she loves so much.

Update: Message from Maryann:
” have wanted to write to each of you individually and thank you for the supportt and nice cards prayers and thoughts. It just hasn’t worked the way I planned.
I m now at UPMC Magee cancer center ). I’ve only had one chemo treatment due to a laundry list of side effects.
I had a vision scare w/occular migraines (like looking thru a kaleidoscope) but they think it was an odd side effect of antibiotics (I had cdiff) .
Chemo to start again this week (i am taking physical therapy I have trouble getting around.)
Ii hope to be home again (was home 1.5’day in past month. Camein on sept 9.
Please keep me in prayer.

I have been praying for her and thinking of her often. I miss her witty posts and sense of humor. She would have had good insight at the craziness of this election.
PaMom is in my every prayer.
May the Lord reach down and heal you, I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
And mine. May our heavenly Father heal her completely and give her additional fruitful time among us and, if that not be His will, then to prepare a special place for her in heaven where her pain and tears will be no more.

Sorry to come out of the woodwork like this. Greg told me and I’ve totally forgotten about it. No excuse for that. She’s in my prayers now.
O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.
For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of
Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

Here is an update on our dear FRiend Maryann (Pennsylvania Mom). Greg B has been in contact with her family. Here is the response:
“Maryann is still in the hospital battling stage 4 breast cancer. She has her good days and bad. Please ask for continued prayers from her FR friends. We are trusting God for complete healing. Mimistrong!”
