What exactly did Jesus look like? Both as a child and then as an adult? It's a question that's been asked for centuries. An Italian scientific team decided to look into it, using the latest technology. The team used the Holy Shroud as a starting point to try and depict Jesus' appearance.

"One of the tasks this police department carries out quite often is facial reconstruction. So everything from describing facial features to comparing them. This is our starting point, so we used the Holy Shroud as our base and went from there."
From the Shroud, the team gathered all types of information. From the shape of the eyebrows and lips to nose features. From there, so called non verifiable elements were added on, like eye and hair color.

"These techniques are used to find criminals or to develop hypotheses on what an adult could look like, if he or she disappeared as a child."
But with the Holy Shroud, the process has been the opposite. The image of an adult who resembles the facial features of Christ, was used to turn back the clock. The final result was this image of a young 12 year old boy.

The results of radiocarbon measurements at Arizona, Oxford and Zurich yield a calibrated calendar age range with at least 95% confidence for the linen of the Shroud of Turin of AD 1260 - 1390 (rounded down/up to nearest 10 yr). These results therefore provide conclusive evidence that the linen of the Shroud of Turin is mediaeval.

What’s with the blue eyes?
I think this is some kind of made-up nonsense.
I needed one good laugh before I turn this thing off for the night.
Reminds me of those surveillance photos in the crime column. If you see anyone with a gray blur for a face, be sure and call the cops.

Since God’s eyes are blue, it is most likely that his son’s eyes were blue too.

Ancient accounts give his eyes as sea green or grey or blue - hazel? - and his hair as medium brown with red highlights.
Mnny Jewish people have this coloring.
It’s just that once an idea is put in people’s minds, it’s hard to let go of it.
Truth is - we don’t know.
Too bad the police artist didn’t take into account the brutalized face - the broken nose, swollen cheek, etc.

The documentary by the History Channel on the Shroud gave a very good depiction of ‘the Face” ‘but, I believe, got the hair an eyes wrong. They did, however, compensate for the bruised face -

The carbon dating has LONG been proven to’ve been taken from a pieces of the Shroud that was part of an expertly woven patch - done after the Medieval fire that scorched the folded corners.
MUCH research and evidence on that - and on the true age of the Shroud. - back to the time of Jesus - AND that there is no paint or any other means of man on the shroud to’ve produced the image - etc etc etc
The research form every branch of science; photography, forensic, etc etc etc ., points to it’s authenticity...

Off the top of my head, I can say that this info is correct.
Everyone knew the first C-D was wrong/diff part of it.
Recent C-D is accurate, to the original time.
I am sure a search on the Shroud will give lots of information if you go to any recent reports.
