Do we really love those that hate Christ Jesus
Psalm 139 The Bible | 5/26/2015 | Chauncey Uppercrust

Posted on 05/26/2015 8:06:55 AM PDT by Chauncey Uppercrust

21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate you? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against you?

22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.

Psalm 139

American King James Version You Have Searched Me and Know Me 1O lord, you have searched me, and known me.

2You know my sitting down and my rising up, you understand my thought afar off.

3You compass my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

4For there is not a word in my tongue, but, see, O LORD, you know it altogether.

5You have beset me behind and before, and laid your hand on me.

6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain to it.

7Where shall I go from your spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence?

8If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there.

9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12Yes, the darkness hides not from you; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to you.

13For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother's womb.

14I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.

15My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously worked in the lowest parts of the earth.

16Your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

17How precious also are your thoughts to me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

18If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with you.

19Surely you will slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, you bloody men.

20For they speak against you wickedly, and your enemies take your name in vain.

21Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate you? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against you?

22I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.

23Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

24And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Love, like, dislike, hate? Whatever. I pray nightly for the good, bad, and evil.

Yes I apologized for mix up.... The very last thing we are discussing here, whether or not a Homosexual can be saved if he dies saying it#s not a sin

Any good sinners prayer has a prayer Thanking Jesus for dying for his her sins, and a decision to turn from our sins.

To go through life saying that God#s Word is a lie, that it#s Not sin, voting for the removal of God and Christ from public square , wanting children to be taught that homosexuality is a option for them.

All this is just not something that would come from a sincere Sinners prayer, not in line with Christianity at all.

“In my defense I just got back from dental surgery”

What? We could have done that.

Those things are wrong whether you are a Christian or not. The church teaches that divorce is OK when Jesus clearly says it is not, more clearly than He speaks on homosexuality.
When Christians tell me that we should celebrate homosexuality, I inform them that their belief is easy to say when your older brother isn’t dying from it.

Here's a verse that isn't preached much:

"If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed." 1 Cor 16:22

I guess maybe we should love those who are hateful as much as we want God to love us, who are so sinful in His sight.

On divorce...I responded to someone else who mentioned it, I said it was OK under certain circumstances, the Bible gives the exceptions ie adultery...I wont list them here because I am sure we are in agreement as to what the Bible says.

I have a cousin that thinks he is gay, wanted me to go to his “gay wedding” And yes I love my couzin.

If you were to look in my posts you would find me saying that I was nothing but a sinner saved by grace, in fact I said it as recently as the past 2 days here.

I often quote that our Righteousness is as filthy rags, and yes not one is righteous no not one, you would find me quoting that as well, so I think to some degree we are talking at cross purposes (keeping in mind I got 2 of you mixed up)

Having said that, you just happened to stumble on to a fellow that has a very deep held belief about so called “Christians” supporting abortion/gay marriage etc, this is a belief that is not going to be shaken.

I would not be a member of a Church that supported such things, absolutely not.

My Cousin says he is a Christian but that the Bible was written by 2000 year old caveman that rubbed sticks together to start a fire. So this is the norm for these folks.

I personally dont believe there is forgiveness for people that deny they have sin, this is one of the few conditions that we admit to God/Christ that we are sinful and need of a saviour ...to say we have no sin is to call God a liar.

They are also saying that God`s Word is untrue.

I am a sinner saved by grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross for my sins. I asked him into my life I promised to turn from my sins, I ask forgiveness for various things daily, we have a nightly prayer time in my house were we thank Jesus for dying on the Cross for our sins everyday.

I hand out little red Bibles to people/strangers, leave them in dr offices etc, super markets.

People ask me such things I tell them what the Bible has to say about these things, I dont water it down, and I dont say it to them with any judgment.

The Bible is very very very clear on Abortion gay marriage and homosexuality.

When people say, well what did Jesus say personally about each issue...I take them to John Chapter 1 from vs 1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him;

then to here.....And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

I explain to them that Jesus is The Word, he was in the beginning with God..

Then I tell them that Thy Word is Truth, every Word of God is true

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

Conclusion..... Jesus was with God in the beginning, he is The Word, and he is Also God

So every Word Spoken in the old and New testaments is approved by this same Jesus.

Yes Old is Law, and New is Grace

I wont water it down. Yes I believe when “Christians” vote against Christian issues like abortion and homosexuality they are voting for the record.

And for those that do not vote but share the same views at the water cooler, same difference.

So when we have had pro life Christians weeping for the unborn while so called “liberal Christians” voted against us, against God and showed no remorse, I believe we are seeing their soul.

Anybody that supports those things clearly does not have the Spirit of Christ within them, common sense not judging

For those that say...hey live and let live, let the gay people have their marriage, what they dont realize, they are actually harming a child by being kind to the gay people, and BTW they are not really being kind to the gay people, the gay people need to be told the truth out of love

I am not better than anybody, but I am allowed to quote my Bible when a discussion arises.

Do I want everybody saved, absolutely I do. If I wanted someone to miss out on Eternal Life that would be damning myself.

The Bible says that homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God,Yes its a long list of others, thats how libs rationalize it, but the Bible says basically that anybody that harms a child will not inherit the kingdom of God either, that covers abortion as well as folks that support gay marriage.

We are all sinners, none is righteous, no not one, thats why we are allowed to quote Scripture, yes even a sinner saved by grace like myself.

I will not attend a liberal Church, we have already discussed it with them, we told them, we took it to the elders, now we have nothing to do with them. They are anti Christian

Now we should be using our efforts on the non believers, the others have already spat on Christ.

God chastens His children because He loves them, I don’t believe He destroys His Children. The flesh will be destroyed sooner or later, but that is because Jesus Christ did not redeem our flesh, He redeemed the real us, our soul, our spirit.

I most strongly disagree with you. He redeems our flesh.

When Christ appeared to the 11 He made sure they handled Him so that they would know He was NOT a spirit that He was indeed flesh, He even asked for food to prove to them what He was. We are told that we will be like Him. Our spirits are not killed when our bodies die, they will not be resurrected, they will be reunited with our bodies and become immortal.

I'm not saying that you won't receive a resurrected body, a body that is born of God,that can be touched and can touch.
However, if you believe Jesus died to redeem the flesh that was born of man, then what you are saying is that your flesh that was born of man will not die and will not return to dust.
Nothing redeemed by Jesus will die. Your flesh will die, and you will be buried, for your flesh was not redeemed by Him.

We will indeed return to the earth that gave us and to the dust from which we were made But. . . . .

When Christ was resurrected He was resurrected into His old body. You will recall that the burial wrap was empty. The angels retrieved Him at His tomb.

When Christ arose many of the saints who had already died had their graves opened and they walked among the people they knew in their resurrected bodies. The graves were opened because their bodies were resurrected. I don’t know exactly what that means but it at least means that we will come BACK to life that our bodies and spirits will be RE-united not created new.

When we are resurrected we will be different for sure but we will be ourselves. We will have flesh, immortal flesh but still flesh.

Job makes this clear in chapter 19 verse 27, where he says that though his reins be consumed he will see The Lord with his own eyes and not the eyes of another.

Christ's old body was also born of God, He had a choice of whether or not to allow His body to die. You and I, we don't have that choice. His choice was to allow His body to cease, to become a sacrificial subsitionary death for us on the cross.

His body did not see corruption, because there was no corruption in Him, you and I on the other hand have a body of flesh that is filled with corruption, (always has been and always will be) that is why we must continue to repent everyday.

And if you say you have no sin then the truth is not in you. The only time someone can say, that someone is no longer sinning is when that someone is laying in a casket.

As for the many saints who had already died had their graves opened and they walked among the people they knew in their resurrected bodies, Like Lazarus they died again later, and went to heaven.
