Liberals only like to mention the nicest things that Jesus said. He said a lot of scary things as well.

For instance Mary and Joseph and Company Praised God when Herod died

and here we have a Scripture saying .... I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.

Jesus said those that do not believe in Him will be damned , he said I am the way the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but through me.

Liberals hate all these scriptures, also when Jesus said Go and sin no more, they like to leave that out. ' Jesus/God is Love absolutely dont get me wrong.

I dont believe anybody was slapped down for the comment...I hate those Lord that hate you

How true.

Also, you can LOVE a person in a Godly sense but not LIKE them at all.

“Also, you can LOVE a person in a Godly sense but not LIKE them at all.”

Or pretend to love them anyway.

"Jesus/God is Love absolutely dont get me wrong."

Certainly the bible tells us "God is love". But too many people use that to try and define God by their own notions of what love is rather than defining love by what the bible tells us of God.

I “hate” people who say Christ Jesus. It’s always some effete snob who says it.

One loves as much as one hates.
You can't love having a beautiful flower garden without hating weeds.
You can't love having good health, without hating sickness.
You can't love Jesus Christ without hating the things that are against Christ. You cannot serve both God and mammon...

I hope that is true. I haven't completely figured out that paradox yet though.

I will not forget, nor will I have a false love or feigned respect for someone who has clearly done wrong. But I do not wish them harm, nor seek revenge in words or deeds. I will ask that God give them, and me, wisdom and conversion, to see that which is right and follow it.

That's what I can muster

In addition, these lib pukes think that Jesus was some peacenik liberal. You should see their faces when I reminded them that Jesus whipped and beat the crap out of the merchants who turned the temple into a marketplace.

And they point at THAT and scream "That proves my point, he was ANTI-CAPITALIST!!"

Sure, but those merchants were middle class, If they were rich merchants, they would have rented spaces in a building properly then Jesus wouldn;t kick the crap out of them. ;P

People are likely to misunderstand what I am saying.

Matthew 5:43-48King James Version (KJV)

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

King James Version (KJV)

And in another place it says if thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:

22For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.

So by doing good to them we are also heaping coals on them.

God is so loving it is not funny, just that in my daily reading I come across quite a bit of this stiff.

If Mary and Joseph can praise God for Herod Dying, then I am not required to weep for folks like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, or people that attend liberal Churches and want The Name of Christ/God removed from Classroom/public square, or people that claim to be Christian yet celebrate abortion and homosexuality.

I want nothing to do with these folks, yes I do pray for them on occasion that they will see the light, but I dont buy that they are Christian.

I don't want to sound Clintonian but it depends on the meaning of hate.

In my understanding of God He does not hate any of His children. Since God is our Father I try to relate it to how I feel about my children, my children can certainly do things that make me mad but I don't think they can make me hate them.

In the perspective of eternity when God destroys His Children he is only ending their earthly life. Even when God destroys His earthly children I do not believe He hates them, or shall I say I do believe He still loves them. Sometimes that loves seems hard and harsh but still it is love.

Since all people on earth are sinners it would be logical that God hates all of us but instead He loved us enough that He sent His son into the world to die for us and be punished for our sins so that we could live with God. Living with God is conditional, don't get me wrong. I realize we need to tow the line by repenting of our sins, not sinning again and accepting Christ as our Savior and being loyal to Him and following Him.

Not everybody will accept Jesus Christ but I believe that nearly all would accept Christ if they had a perfect understanding of Christ and what He did for us and does for us.

There have been times when I have explained to my children over and over again how it is, it seemed they would never get it. Now I see them doing the same to their kids.

No, I don't think God ever hates us but it must look like it sometimes.

“I want nothing to do with these folks”

I think that is where the “I love them” part seems to disconnect.
I like everybody. With some people, it is best if I like them from afar but I can be friendly. I have a friend who is a rabid gay Democrat and he thinks I want him killed for being gay because he wants to play the victim. Whatever. I love him but he is wrong.

I guess perhaps a co-worker or boss with a very abrasive personality...

You don’t have to LIKE them, but you do the RIGHT thing - you don’t play into their games; you don’t short them on stuff; you don’t throw obstacles in their way even if they do all the same to you.

It’s not feigned or false. It’s doing unto others AS unto the Lord. Pleasing Him, not me and my feelings. (because I’d REALLY love to knock them upside the head...)

The Lord said to “pray for your enemies” and “be kind to your enemies”. Tough thing, but it’s HIS will and it’s what will make us more LIKE Him in the long run.

I have a different interpretation about what Jesus said when He said certain things are sins. Many Christians think divorce is a particularly bad sin because Jesus mentioned it. My take is that Jesus was pointing out that we sin almost all the time. We thought divorce was “ok”, but it turns out it isn’t. I think He was addressing people who felt they followed the letter of the law and Jesus was pointing out that they weren’t and that everybody was sinning all the time.

Yes I included that line because I figured there was a good possibility I would be hammered here for pointing out that Jesus also said a number of harsh things.

I have only love (I hope) for non believers, but the ones that claim to be Christian that have their arms in the air apparently praising Jesus, yet being over joyed when Christian values fall.

People like Jim Wallace, I dont consider to be my brother
