The bishops and deacons were still elders but the elders were not necessarily bishops and deacons. I think we must deal with the ordained title. One could be an presbuteros as in a clan and not be a presbuteros/pastor in the church, but if he was the latter then he was also called a episkopos, and episkopos were all presbuteros from what we seen in Scripture, which uses both for the same pastoral persons.

How awful to never know if you have done enough, obeyed enough , prayed enough to get even into purgatory. If you are so sure of your salvation, do you even pray anymore? Do you still keep the Ten Commandments?
Or are you on "cruise control" now?

I hate to disappoint you but I was simply wondering if any anti-anti-Catholic basher would have the integrity to complain to fellow Catholics like they complain to non Catholics.
And I got my answer.

The farce is saying there's a sin that God can't or won't forgive. And that is why Christ instituted the Sacrament of Confession:
[21] He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you. [22] When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost. [23] Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained. John, Chapter 20

Sorry I believe I know what presbuteros means but mostly I get mixed up trying to use language I do not understand.
I am just saying that Titus and timothy was to pick qualified men from the elders of the Church and appoint them as Bishops and Deacons and that men did not become elders by being appointed but were elders by age and knowlege.

If you are so sure of your salvation, do you even pray anymore? Do you still keep the Ten Commandments? Sure. Why not?
Do you think people are going to not do what's right just because they are sure of where they're going when they die?
We're not doing those things cause we have to. We're not using God to attain our own ends and when we have those ends, we cast Him aside.
I still marvel at what it reveals about a person who can only concieve of doing what's right cause they have to and if the motivation of the fear of hell is gone, they won't do it.

Do you think people are going to not do what's right just because they are sure of where they're going when they die?Are you saying y'all have been living completely sinless lives since your "enlightenment"?
You don't break one Commandment every now and then?

There's not a Christian on this board that would such a false claim.

Of course we pray-—every day and more if we need to. Where in the world did you get that idea?

If you are so sure of your salvation, do you even pray anymore? Do you still keep the Ten Commandments? We are to love the Lord God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our strength, and with all our mind; and our neighbor as ourself.
If we've done this we've kept the Law.

Nope. Nobody on this board has ever claimed to ever have lived a sinless life since they got saved.
We all sin and freely admit that.
What’s sinning after you’ve been saved have to do with your salvation?
