Well he did say “of good will” which presumably meant someone who wanted to be free of its domination... not someone willfully wallowing in it

This is one way to parse Pope Francis’ off-the-cuff, non-magisterial, remark made during an interview on an airplane.

Has Francis ever made a magisterial statement?

self loathing often precipitates Projection.

they were NOT that comfortable about their own lives...and thus projected their dimly perceived issues..on everyone they came into contact with! or so it would seem to me.

I heard about that. Didn't Michael Jackson write a similar song?

“Watch for this to show up behind glass in the National Archives (maybe replacing the Constitution).”

f President Obie has anything to do with it.

I have been saying for a couple years now that when liberals figure that out, they will turn on Francis.

And when Fr. Z realizes that Francis is a flaming liberal and admits it, he might lose his "fan club".

Anti-abomination works better. I don’t fear homos.

Oh my, I think he did!

Here are the lyrics to the new hit by the Pope as best as I can tell (I can’t tell WHERE this translation came from, maybe ICEL resurrected):

That They May Be One

This message is light and hope light that pierces the darkness
Never let that determine your life last
Always look forward
The future is in your mind, in your hands and in your heart

Chorus: So that all may be one
Gone are the walls
Only the value of the meeting’s Bridge to Peace

For they all be one unit is the way
One always open alliance
When love and truth When you find to the pain you have to do what your heart calls
For the most authentic gestures are those who alone are
The future is in your mind in your hands and in your heart

Chorus: So that all may be one
Gone are the walls
Only the value of meeting ‘s Bridge to Peace

Do not give identity to live in harmony
For they all be one unit is the way
One always open alliance When love and truth

Chorus: That they all may be one
Gone are the walls
Only value of the encounter‘s the Bridge to Peace

I think I heard something like this when my youngest kids were watching Pokemon last weekend.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled thread...

I see there’s no mention of God in this “song”. I guess Francis didn’t want to offend his atheist editor friend and other atheists.

Well it’s no Music for the Royal Fireworks, I just listened to an excerpt on iTunes... great googley moogley. It may not offend atheists but it offends my musical sensibilities.

Pope said, “Who am I to judge?”

Well, God commands us to judge, and the entire Bible is a user manual on how to judge. The reference, “Judge not, that ye be not judged”, was a specific admonition to the hypocritical Pharisees. People who call for tolerance and quote “judge not” out of context are incorrect.

Christians are commanded to judge. Jesus said, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (John 7:24).

Read Proverbs; all of it pertains to judging.

Does the Pope not think he’s a Christian? Of course he should judge — and loudly. Actually, it’s the main part of his job.

Wow, and after people without a clue about Jesus and/or religion in general, lectured me during Holy Week about what Jesus would be with anti-gay pizza while beating bankers or somesuch. (Seriously, I avoided a flamewar/troll by not responding to "All I know is Jesus whipped the bankers" with "Yes, apparently, that is all you know.")

Any time people want to speak to me or complain about Pope Francis, I have to remind them that what he said/did is probably not what the media are saying/interpreting what he said/did.

Not only is there no mention of God, but he continues to promote the heresy of false ecumenism/false unity (”that all may be one”).
