"I can almost hear the new buzzword now

Abominationophobe...."

:-)

You should add that one to this "phobia list"!

“Pope said, “Who am I to judge?”

Can you please post the rest of the Pope’s statement and not just cherry pick those five words.

Now, will he, I hope, be consistent and refuse to accept Obama’s homosexual ambassador to the Holy See?

Read it carefully, they assume, the Vatican is more complex than most of the world’s governments.

Everything isn’t done by one guy.

If I recall correctly, when Obama became President they went through a number of nominees before one was accepted by the Holy See

"The reference, “Judge not, that ye be not judged”, was a specific admonition to the hypocritical Pharisees.

Actually, Matthew 7:1-5 is not addressed to the Pharisees, but to Jesus' disciples. Go back and read the introduction to the Sermon that started at 5:1-2 for context to see who He's talking to there. Also read 5:20. 7:1-5 is also using "judging" in a different sense than John 7:24, which is talking about judging the truth, whereas Matthew 7 is talking about passing sentence in the sense of sitting in God's seat. James 4:11-12 also forbids Christians from judging in the latter sense.
