It's not the falling away. A little study of the ancient Greek helps.
646 apostasía (from 868 /aphístēmi, "leave, depart," which is derived from 575 /apó, "away from" and 2476 /histémi, "stand") properly, departure (implying desertion); apostasy literally, "a leaving, from a previous standing." [http://biblehub.com/greek/646.htm]
The departure of the ekklesi happens before that "man of sin" can be revealed.
Not if one studies scripture instead of listening to apostates.
The thing that interests me is that such a big notion is built around such a small scripture.
Jesus himself tells us that he will raise us up at the last day and even if 1 Thes 4:16-18 is to be taken as raptured alive as far as we know it did not happen.
Paul included himself in 1 Thes 4:16-18 and it is assumed that he died in Rome, rather than being taken up alive.
So it is logical to believe if 1 Thes 4:16-18 is to be taken literally it took place at the time of Pauls so called death and we missed it by close to two thousand years.
And even then it could not have taken place before the tribulation because Christians were going through tribulations then.
People who are interested would be better served by... Pre-Trib Research Center...
“No,the falling away is not a departure. it is a moral, spiritual corruption of the entire Earth.”
That actually started happening during Paul’s life and is not the falling away talked about in the passage.
That is an easy accusation to make. If you go to that site StarTraveler posted, every paper and article that clicked on was literally loaded with Scripture references.
There are several Scripture that reference the Rapture. And it was such an important event to God that He chose to put it in His Word. When it happens (and I tend to believe we are not far off), it will literally alter the rest of human history, which will be the next terrible 7 years. After the Rapture, the world will be in literal chaos.
The thing about that is that I read the Bible ... AND ... I read others, too ... :-) ...
“For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”
Matthew 5:18
— — —
Ummmm ... were you talking about a “jot” ... or ... a “tittle”? ... :-) ...
I know I didn’t make that clear, but it was really directed to “ravenwolf” ... sorry if not making it clear ... :-) ...
.
Wrong again!
What started in Paul’s life was the “mystery of Iniquity,” which is the teaching that Torah has been fulfilled and cancelled.
The Mystery of Iniquity is what will send millions, if not billions, to the fate Yeshua calls out in Matthew 7.
.
.
No one “departs” before the Man of Sin is revealed.
You, make Paul a liar.

>> “Not if one studies scripture instead of listening to apostates.” <<
.
Thus I endure in the word of God by never listening to you, or anyone, that advances Satan’s ‘pre-trib rapture.’
.
Oh I understood, thanks!
Wow. Just wow.
Here is some Scripture for you editor-surveyor:
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."
Isaiah 5:20
.
>> were you talking about a jot ... or ... a tittle? <<
ravenwolf was clearly talking about 5 significant events of Yehova’s “appointed times” that remain to be fulfilled before “all” will be fulfilled.
.
.
The pre-trib blasphemy is indeed inspired by Satan and his minions.
There is nothing “good” about the promotion of a false rapture.
.
.
The ekklesia will be resurrected exactly at the end of Satan’s tribulation.
Jacob’s trouble is the entire 70th week of Daniel, not just the 42 month tribulation of the saints.
.
.
Denying that we are in the end period of the 5th seal demonstrates a total lack of basic understanding of the Revelation.
Am I surprised? - No Way!
.
.
>> “There are several Scripture that reference the Rapture.” <<
.
There is not even one reference in scripture to a ‘pre-trib’ rapture.
.
Strong delusion is the only possible basis of such departures from scripture.
