Any rock monsters?
I watch that movie every time it’s on. What a classic.
Even if one accepts Bale’s characterization for the sake of argument, Moses was still a saner and more compassionate individual than Mohammed.
Spare me... You don't need to be "pious" to that the Word of God is true.
Christian, a great name wasted on a doofus!
I smell a bomb. This will sink faster than last year’s stinker, Noah.
Yeah, but his last name is Bale. Sounds the same as Baal. So maybe its prophetic that we have another person trying to make money on Christianity without respect for God's word or one of the greatest leaders in the Bible.
As opposed to a comic-book character that dresses in a dark costume & prowls the night dispensing “justice” ;?
hmmm...what an idiot. He has no prob taking $$$ for playing the part, I am sure. Don’t get why he opened his mouth about it at all....except that *I* am calling him an idiot.
Did his Mama ever blow it when she named sonny boy CHRISTIAN! Should have named him DUMKOPF!
If there had been a snowball’s chance that I MIGHT possibly pay to view that flick, that bigmouth knucklehead just convinced me that now I can’t wait to miss it. I’se done wrote Ichabod over ‘dat fool!
Charlton Heston as Moses makes Christian Bales look like a wuss.
Then I am certain won’t mind not getting paid for playing the part; right?
Moses was 83 years old when he freed Israel and wandered the desert with Israel until he was a bit over 120 years old. Part of God’s glory...using unlikely old folks to found a nation,or a young kid with a small basket of bread and fish to feed a multitude, and for the Father himself to be made manifest as God in flesh for the redemption of sinners.
God just continues to do amazing things that “world wise” humans would just never would expect!
If they tried to use “barbaric” in describing Joshua’s claiming of the promised land, I could see their point (but not concede to it of course).
What could Moses have done which would be considered barbaric?
To the non-believer? Utterly destroying the kingdoms of Sihon and Og and Arad prior to the crossing of the Jordan. Reference Numbers 21.
I am anxiously awaiting the 12 part anthology on the discovery of gravity. I hear it’s gonna be really heavy man...
Like Kingdom of Heaven, this will end up being another Ridley Scott movie that is incredible to look at, but difficult to watch. I wish he would avoid these quasi-historical costume dramas.
Any alien’s or rock monsters. Biblical movies need more aliens and rock monsters.
Christian is just trying to maintain his liberal, agnostic bonafides. He wouldn’t want anyone to think he actually believes in the character he is portraying.
