Pope Francis, "If Mary is not your Mother, you are an orphan!"
Charisma News ^ | 9/5/2014 | Jennifer LeClaire

Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air for many Catholics seeking greater liberty and a growing concern for conservative Christians who take issue with his comments about homosexuality and other cultural issues.

But the pontiff's latest statement is sparking an uproar from believers around the world. Pope Francis sent a tweet Tuesday that absolutely violates the truth of Scripture:

"The Christian who does not feel that the Virgin Mary is his or her mother is an orphan," Pope Francis tweeted.

As of the time I wrote this column it had been retweeted about 4,000 times and many of the responses were in appropriately unkind. It's not appropriate to attack the pope for his beliefs. It's more appropriate to share the truth...

Ask Little Red Riding Hood

Do the rules against “making it personal” include juvenile name calling?

I believe that the virgin conceived and bore a Son and that His name was Immanuel Matt 1:23

Agreed.

I also believe to pray to or worship anyone other than God is a sin against God.

Do you agree?

I get it. You refuse to post a response to me that Jesus is sufficient for salvation.

I don't know whether or not you believe because you seem reluctant to testify that no one enters Heaven except solely through Jesus and not even Mary can get you there.

...”Catholics do not worship Mary”....

Oh Yes they do, the evidence shows otherwise....However Catholics “are taught” to “say” they do not worship Mary...and it’s been the same lingo responses since they were first called on the mat for it.

As with so much that the catholic church twists to suite their dogma’s and traditions...they change the obvious to something else and often the language as well....

“Venerating” gives them the “excuse” they seek for breaking God’s word.

And so I said, Christ is central to our Faith.

How may a man enter the Kingdom of Heaven?

And then turned it on it's ear. You learned your lessons well.
My goodness, Elsie, Jesus endured hours of absolute torture for us, and right before he stated "It is finished," he says to John, "Behold your mother." Since these words fell at the very end [of his life], wouldn't it stand to reason they were of utmost importance and should not be ignored?

...”Says a lot about Catholicism and the Catholic mindset to laud sin like that”....

You’re forgetting..according to some they see it as “Art” not sin...... And though they do bow and pray their prayers before “Art”...it’s not worship it’s “venerating”....and it’s not praying TO but “through” the “art”.

Makes you wonder what they really do when they are worshiping if this isn’t it?

By the same logic, Protestants worship beds when they kneel before them.

Only if they are praying ...

Hail Bed, full of grace
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou amongst furniture...

Otherwise it's simply a convenient place to kneel. Seriously, you guys are really stretching it to justify abominable practices!

God is the Savior
God created humans
Humans can’t save themselves
Mary is human
God created Mary sinless
Therefore, Mary needed the Savior

....”denied by virtually every Catholic”....

Well they ‘have to deny” they worship Mary...that is what they are suppose to do and been taught to say...

“We walk by faith, not by sight” [2 Corinthians 5:7]. We don’t need ‘objects’ in order to concentrate in worship or prayer....but catholic’s do.

They didn’t listen to God’s warnings when they brought into the church pagan teachings, rites and rituals when they first started this...and they don’t want to hear it now either....

....“Thou shalt not ‘make’ unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.”...

So, unless the Catholic bowing to a statue is worshiping the material the statue is made of or deifying the individual represented, I think we’re okay.

“You shall not make for yourselves idols, nor shall you set up for yourselves an image or a sacred pillar, nor shall you place a figured stone in your land to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God.”

Is it a “figured stone?” Do you “bow down to it?”

Do you understand what God said about this?

It really isn’t very complicated.

It’s YOUR chosen church. Does IT claim that is enough?

What did Jesus say he would do concerning those who deny him on Earth?

Do you realize that is not in the list of ten commandments that Catholics use?

Hint: Mary leads everyone to her Son, Jesus, as she’s the mother of God. Does this disturb you?

Who existed first, Mary or God?

No I didn’t know... but not at all surprised considering how much they have changed and twisted pretty much everything in Christianity to suite their traditions and teachings.

That was part of another question/answer. Best not to take things out of context, lest you confuse the both of us.

They didn’t like that not making image commandment so eliminated it and split the 10th commandment to still have ten.
